Just noticed the coil is leaking an oily substance. Previous threads tell me this is a Bad Sign. Can I get a replacement from Halfords? If so, what part no/type/make do I look for? (Griff 500 '97)
Thanks in advance

Halfords stock Lucas DLB 198.
However they do say that the Bosch coil is longer lasting etc.
The Lucas coil has been fine on my car.

get a Bosch PRC6574. Don't bother with anything else as it will be leaking faster than a double dose of diuretics....

Markr Adams put me onto this when I went through a spate of leaking coils...

Steve - thanks your advice, but Bosch agents don't recognize that part number. They say it should be a 10 digit number?

That is the one on the box that contains the old coil that acts as a paperweight on my desk at the moment ...

Mine did come from Mark Adams so try him.

PRC6574 looks suspiciously like the part numbering system that Rimmer Bros use (which may well bear some relationship to old Rover part no.'s?)
