Wooohooo!! TVR Back From Respray!!

After ill advised action of sending the Griff in for a Front end respray (apparently I have more important things to spend the money on??) I have gotten it back 5 working days and now no stone chips or dings or anything!!







I have to say the finish is outstanding, espeically considering the depth and severity of some of the damage. You can't see a thing!! If anyone wants the paint shops details please let me know as they did a fantastic job!

Now the question is, to armourfend or not???

Armourfend otherwise you'll feel guilty for driving it!

No armourfend or you'll feel guilty for ruining the look of your car with sill sellotape stuff that wont stop big stones and will leave a horrid line.

Yep It'll be nice to be see some more Pre Cats.

I wonder how long it'll last? I don't think I'll be armourfending, at least not the whole nose. Maybe the bottom facing bits as Armourfend don't do a Pre Cat nose piece. plus it means driving up to Essex next weekend instead of the Growl.

Do you not have overheating problems then? Can't see how you can get enough airflow in otherwise.

Odd how different the pre-cat front end looks without the number plate on isn't it.

I thought about armourfending after my respray, but didn't bother. It doesn't stop chips on the door edges, mirrors, wheel arch edges, sills etc - unless you do all those places as well. Then your car ends up looking like you drove throught a sellotape factory. Also, you can see it - particularly on dark colours. Plus the quotes I was getting were knocking on the door of the cost of a front end respray...

As for the cooling, most of the cooling air goes in through the intake underneath the nose, not just the little hole in the front - hence why a splitter / spoiler makes such a difference on a pre cat.

Hmmm... my spliter is AWOL. Must put one back on. The other question is do I put my refurbed rocker covers on or not?? I was bored on weekend so tidied up a set. But it's a big job to fit them.
