Newbie brushing up for an S series in November

Hi,

I'm a TVR virgin, but brushing up on all info possible before I buy in November. I intend to get an S3, but wanted to know if the earlier models can run on unleaded. If so, does it really matter which octane?
Also, is there a definitive book on the S series?

If anyone can enlighten me......!

Steve Heath wrote an excellent book drawing together information from the factory archives with hints and tips gleaned from owners over the years. It's usually referred to as the S series bible, you can buy it from the TVRCC office or directly from Steve's web site.

I'd prefer to be experiencing it all first hand though, but as baby is on it's way, I reckon I've done well getting permission to buy one in November! (A TVR, that is, not a baby).

I've just joined TVRCC too. Looking forward to knowing what I am talking about!

As Peter says above - which I cannot recommend enough is buying Steve Heaths 'S' Bible, which is on it's 2nd revision now.

It will tell you everything you need to know (and some).

Particularly handy if your birthday might be coming up soon
