Tvr meet at york raceway !!

While i was racing at york dragstrip i saw a dozen or more tvr`s having a meeting there and racing too. What a lovley sight. Does anyone know where they were from and are they doing another meet. I was wanting to have a run against one of them but they were just running against each other. My rover v8 is a race spec engine and sounds nice, But i think it is quite hard to find a sound better than a tvr. They brought a smile to my face.

Can't believe I missed that. Last time I was there I was the only TVR racing. Mind you, I raced a Corsa that was running 13s.

I went once when a Tuscan was there, it would be nice to get a few TVRs at the raceway on a rwyb day.

We could even have gone someway to seeing if a cerb was faster than a Sagaris over the standing 1/4 mile.

Richard B was telling me about it on Monday night at the Esholt meeting - it was organised by the guys at West Yorkshire TVRCC.

Sorry Jules, I've been having some problems with the man that normally walks in front of my car with a flag at speed events.

However, I supect your 400+ (what ever it is this week) standard car is more than a match for a mere speed 6 engined car. Some day when work doesnt get in the way we can have a play - always assuming I get my flag man back.

How about York Raceway on 24th September on a RWYB day, there is an earlier one on 27-28th August but that clashes with the Harewood TVRCC sprint championship. details of York Raceway are Here with the future events, i wouldn't run mine but if weather is ok would love to film TVRs on the strip.
No excuses for not knowing where and when to go now.
