Tatton Park Show

Are many people going to the tatton park show on the 19th and 20th of Aug?
As i recently bought a tuscan this will be the first time i have been to a show like this so am a little green!! Was wondering if there is a better day to go , either sat or sun ie is one day busier than the other?? And what time should you be getting onto the site to park your car in an exhibitors plot?? Have got tickets through the local TVRCC and am staying in chester on the friday and saturday night so not far to travel. Any tips or pointers would be great, Thanks Jason..

Hi mate... We always plan to arrive around 8am that way you miss all the traffic and theres always a few people already there..... There will be a welcome coffee and bacon butty courtesy of the guys on the tvr stand waiting for you. Saturday is a little quieter than the Sunday but you can expect at least 40 plus tvrs each day. We camp over so do both days. Good excuse for a days drinking

I would normally be going on the Saturday, but unfortunately I won't be there at all this time 
(I went to the June show - excellent as usual! 
). I usually arrive at around 8am as there are no queues and the parking is easier. Despite being early, the bacon butties and coffee soon wake you up!
Be suitably prepared, ie bucket, sponge, all the cleaning gear for inside and out, as (being the sad person that I am) I usually spend hours cleaning the Tamora. That means I don't have to clean her at home and hence don't get the earache from the better half for 'wasting' time when I'm at home!
Foldaway chairs are also useful and make sure you have your camera.
You'll have a brilliant time as there are great cars and people around. The 3pm rev-up is always excellent and draws a huge crowd - start your engine 10 minutes earlier to warm her up, then rev the nuts off her together with the other 40 or so Tivs! The Scoobies do the same at 3.30pm but it just doesn't quite sound the same......

The Tatton Park show is real good show to attend, you will enjoy both days if you have not been there before. One of the best people to get hold of on thE day is John Mleczek (Blackpool's RO) as he always has a lot to do with the running of the event. I would look out for you myself but sadly we have to miss this one as the show clashes with the Tuscan Challenge at Mallory Park and one of our cars is out that day. Have a nice weekend... I totally agree with Mad Mitch.... Arrive FRIDAY and camp over for the two nights, enjoy a beer (or two) only to keep the cold out of course. And in the two days if you do some good walking you will just about see all this superb show has to offer.
You will have a good time, why not bring the other half it's not all blokes there.

I wouldn`t have as much fun without my missus...... She`s my best mate and drinking partner plus is as mad about cars as I am....... And she knows how the tent goes together ...... All we need are the weather gods to be kind for us and it will be a cracking weekend as always... Look forward to meeting everyone again for a

If you want to put your car on the stand you will need a ticket,

You have a Chim you should be at Chimfest this weekend Chimfest details
K18STM..... Camping shouldn`t be a problem as long as your ticket at the gate allows you to stay two days.... There should be room to pitch a tent no problem...... If in doubt where to camp come to the TVR stand and we will point you in the right direction.

As well as the various car stands etc? Must admit i am looking forward to it now, just need some good weather for some roof off action!!Pretty big auto jumble and loads of trade stands..... Main thing obviously the car stands and it can take a good few hours to have a proper look around. Oh, and not forgetting the 3.00pm rev up on the TVR stand both days..... and the food..... and beer..... and beer.... and food...... and more beer....... and, well you get the picture..
