Blimey it must be some spectacular leak, if its losing enough oil to lower the oil pressure

seems cheap considering the charger fitted and bearing in mind rv8`s are cheap to repair.
probably oil filter gasket between timing cover and pump cover,
It`s very thin and gets brittle from the heat,plus people tend to tighten the oil pump cover unevenly resulting in a warped cover plate,or the pressure sender to dash is leaking,resulting in a low reading.
these are really the only places you will get a visible leak which would cause low pressure or low pressure readings.
Our previous rv8 conversion, p6 rover(1974) 3.5 into mk 1 escort with turbo and crude nos lasted three years of considerable abuse with 4lb oil pressure at idle and only 40-ish at full whack.
bottom line is its cheap and probably cheap to fix aswell.

Looks like an Eaton with a custom long nose and rear housing. In fact that rear housing looks suspiciously as if it came from the ADT conversion that gave superchargers such a bad name, and I'd be very carefull about taking this on without further research.

I'm pretty sure I've spoken to the owner of this car on a few occasions. He used to come in the pub i worked on. If its the lad i'm thinking of he's had no end of problems with it. Seem to remember him saying he bought the kit from the states?

Seen the car at a NR TVRCC meeting, but don't know enough about the car to comment. The blower looked a neat enough installation but he was still setting it up at the time.

Or it could be a leaking oil pressure line in which case that could be an easy fix

But thats a Serp engine so the oil pumps inside the front cover so no oil pump to timing cover gasket, and the filter housing is also part of the front cover...

I've had a little go of this car and it seems to pull ok. Can't compare it to other Chim's as I've not drove any standard ones.

BTW, it's got a hole in the bonnet. Supercharger sits a bit too high and the end pulley was rubbing on the bonnet - simple solution, cut a hole in the bonnet and put gaffer tape over it. Measures about 1inch by 2inches from memory.

Obvously, spacing the bonnet up a quarter of an inch is completely out of the question because, erm, well I'm sure there's a good reason.
