Hi,
I imagin this subject has been talked about before, but I don't hang about much in this particular forum. I only just received my lastest issue of EVO (I live in France) and there was an article about TVR and how Nikolai was saying that he thinks they will only produce something like 250 cars next year. However what was interesting for me is he keeps reiterating the message about the reliability and how he concentrating on that and the manufactoring process rather than new cars. All I can say is that this is what TVR has need for a long long time. I've always loved TVR's, test driven a few but never ever brought one, as I'm not a rich man and whilst I can offord to buy one I can't afford to have the running costs of a fezza. I was never impressed with the build quality when testing them out. However if young Smolenski keeps going in his current direction I think TVR will be a great place say 5 years time and I will *finally* have my TVR sitting on the drive...

I think he's getting there already as far as quality is concerned.
My Tamora was new on 7th April. 9000 miles later, only problem has been a chaffed wire in the steering column causing the wipers to give up. 30 minute fix.
Hope that I'm not speak too early here (!!) but I don't expect to have any quality problems with min..(PLEASE GOD OF CARS AND CAR LOVERS, DON'T GO AND SPITE ME NOW...!)
PS Took me 20 years to get one....

My Sagaris is my first TVR, bought new last April.
So far it has hugely surpassed expecations. It's a staggeringly exciting and rewarding car to own. And I can't think of any other car of its performance that is as affordable to run thus far. The 3 year warranty is excellent, is honoured without hesitation and has contributed to keeping costs down significantly. Smolensky better get his act in gear because I'd like to stay with TVR if I can. There's nothing like them anywhere else.

Nice to hear some positive posts. I too had a Sagaris and it was a great car, not as well put together as it should have been but none the less give reasonable to run.
I do think putting the prices up has nailed it for me, the car now costs more that I'm prepared to pay new. So I'll be back on the second hand market instead
I will have another TVR, once I have got over the back problems.....
