Usual gentle potter in to work down the M1 this morning, I was in lane three with solid traffic in all three lanes, we were all making reasonable progress with lane three averaging about 10 mph faster than lane 2. Anyway, the muppet behind me got closer and closer, presumably hoping I'd levitate off the road and let him past. I reckoned I'd be safer with him on front so as soon as I came up to a decent gap in lane 2 I slowed to match the speed in lane two, and pulled in, planning to pull out behind him. I guess he put his foot down as soon as he saw thirty yards of clear tarmac in front of him because he went past pretty quickly.
Revenge was sweet though, he was barely past me when his car disappeared in a cloud of thick oily smoke and he dropped back and pulled over - exit one engine stage left.
First time I've ever seen somebody blow an engine up overtaking me, very satisfying!
