Wrong Number Plate Fails MOT

The Griff was taken to an MOT testing station today and failed, not for anything else but the plate I had on would not let the light through, as for finding someone who can supply a plate nearby to save me a retest fee, forget it. Mrs Crimson King 500 could not believe it.
Please guys, a plea for help, is there anyone you know who will ship a made up plate to me without production of the documents?

Hi Crimson,

I just got a set of plates made up for my Grif from fancyplates.com told them the rear needed to be translucent as its backlit and that's what they supplied.

The light doesn't shine through as brightly as my previous plate but I don't think that matters too much.

Pretty good price as well £25 + p&p for the pair.

Cheers mate, I will head off there now, fed up with trying to download DVDs that don't work off of the internet that end up slowing down the PC access.

My plates took about a week but that was only because they were waiting for a new stock of translucent blanks, once they had them the plates arrived the next day. They even included fixing screws and sticky pads.

Its a good idea to silcone a bit of silver kitchen foil to the back of the recess before fixing the new rear plate. Crinkle it up first and then spread it out to fit the recess. It reflects the light and the difference is amazing.

Nice Tip, I will remember this when the time comes to fit my new plates, with my Pistonheads name on as well.
