This is quite weird. I never saw a tvr around shrewsbury until the day after I bought one, I actually saw 2, a dark green chimaera and a yellow one. Sorry did not get the plates. Are there any other TVR drivers in Shrops? If so make yourselves known on this post and maybe we can start something.

Hello,

I am from Shrewsbury and went to school there. Although I have lived in Bedford for a few years I am still up in Shropshire about twice a month. I have friends that I stay with in Alberbury and family in the centre. A couple of my mates who have lived in Shrewsbury over recent years have said that they have seen any TVR's whatesoever and I certainly have never seen any. Shropshire is so big with some really good roads in the outer edges I expect thats where they all are.

I am heading up there this weekend. I just love that bit when you come off the M6 onto the M54 and there is nobody about at all...

I thought so. I can't imagine there is much TVR activity around here. Might have to look more to the east (stafford etc). Are you coming in the cerbiethis week end?

Yep - I shall be spending Friday night in Stourbridge, Saturday in Shrewsbury and then thraping down to Cardiff for the Footy on Sunday.

I think Northern Shropshire is where the money and roads are....

A mate has just bought one of the twin turbo MR2's and he reckons it is quicker than my Cerb - so I am going to head into Frankwell on Saturday afternoon and ask him to put his money where is mouth is!

Originally from Shrops, and my folks are still there, but I now live in Warks.

If you see me about in the Telford/Shifnal area, give me a wave

Well, madasahatter I'll be looking out for you. I live just outside Shifnal and as you have probably guessed i have an S3. Must say there is very few TVRs around Shrop's, see the occasional Griff in Halesfield, also see there is a Chim for sale in Telford (Bargain Pages) but, I thought I was the only S, well apart from the V8 S in Whitchurch it seems.

Keep me posted if anybody wants to arrange a meet.

I live in Shrewsbury and I have a red Griff 500. Great run on the old A5 from Shrewsbury to Wellington/Telford outside of peak hours! Been seeing a Pearl colour Chim running around Shrewsbury and Telford lately with number plate L500 BHP.

The Staffs TVRCC region meeting is next Wednesday at the Walton Inn on the A34 near Stone.
Its very informal, you can find us in a room out back.

Hopefully a T350 will be coming along too, it couldn't come last month due to the lovely weather.

PS i work in Telford.

I might just turn up just to watch the red faced MR2 . I should know I use to have one. Unless he's had it modified to b******s he wont stand a chance. What time do you reckon you'll be in Frankwell? there is a nice pub on the river just round the corner called the boathouse.

What time is the meeting. I am still waiting for my TVRcc membership in the post. Should we have a convoy to get there?

The Boathouse - I spent most of my teenage years getting hammered in that very same pub. If you want to meet up for a drive I'll see you there at 1pm? Parking is often crap on Porthill but in or near the Boaty should be ok. We will probably take a drive out to The Old Hand & Diamond pub in Coedway / Alberbury.

I think this chaps MR2 has been chipped...not that it'll matter

Folks start to turn up from 7.30 ish (very ish)
No need to worry about membership, it's very informal.
Unfortunately i will be going from the opposite end of the M54 to you.

Frenchalex, hope to see you over at Staff's region TVRCC Wednesday night, as Boz mention it is very informal and friendly.

From Shifnal I usually travel through Sheriffhales to Newport then on to Stone, not a bad run, takes about 40 min for me. If your not sure of the way and want to meet in Newport, drop me a post.

Unfortunately too busy to join in on the Saturday fun, sure you’ll give him a pasting though.

Hi this is my first time on pistonheads, I've bought a 2000 Tuscan and live in telford. Well happy to hear about tvr club being in the same town. seen a few TVRs in and around the area.
I need abit of advise, since owning mine i've had a few niggles most are sorted like the ecu mount breaking and falling on top of the stearing rack (at speed) It's a TVR thing.. tickover was so lumpy it sounded like a v8, roof and window rattle like a baby on E and the gearstick has a grubscrew that doesn't like its home and want to head out into the world on it's own.Tell me this is a tvr thing.
All said and done i love this thing, as for the bloke with the MR2 your havin a laff mate, might want to check its not an import and running kph clocks.
Does anyone know of a company who make exhaust manifolds for tuscans without the cats and can you chip a 4.0 tuscan, fancy a bit more go.
Don't forget SUMMERS COMING, for all that can ignore the missus and take those tops off(on the cars that is.)

Just to confirm that unless it snows again for the Staffs meeting, Gerald Flint from Peter Smith Sports Cars has promised to bring the T350C along to the meet on Wednesday. (7:30pm ish, at the Walton Inn, A34, Stone).

I know it's appears in the TVRCC Sprint as the 'Staffordshire' regional meet, but we'd love to see TVR nuts from neighbouring areas, or visitors from even further afield for that matter.

Cheers

Marcus (Staffs co-RO)

P.S. regarding Tuscan ex' manifolds - might be best to best scour the pages of the TVRCC Sprint mag for suitable ads.

Noodles are you still up for saturday 1pm at the boat house? I hope the weather will be dry. If the weather is punk I think we should can it, don't fancy driving the car in the wet in Shrewsbury or anywhere else really. Happy with that? And anyone else who wants to turn up should. The more the merrier.

BTW what did you mean by Old Salopians, the pub in town by the multi storey car park?
