Today's the first time I've been stuck with the Griff and the school run, including an extra run for French lessons. What an absolute nightmare. Now I understand why all those dollies use 4x4 pantechnicons.

It takes what feels like 20 minutes to get a young child into a Griff. Then, in the school traffic it's like being a dwarf among all those Pajeros. Finally, once outside the school every kid has to get his/her grubby fingers on the paintwork in order to lean in the window to say good morning. It's going to take me a week to clean the thing.

I've whinged about not having PAS before, now it's full-on rant-mode.

Anyone want to p/x for a Sharan or Galaxy - I'm on duty again tomorrow

mumble grumble frazzle grazzle (in a Mutley style voice)

Hey, it's not so bad... your offspring (it was yours wasn't it?) will be the talk of his/her class for a while and you've done your good deed for the day! Be happy!

Get a grip mate, you've got a Griff, not some nasty eurobox.

Take it out for a quick blast and remind yourself why you bought it.

Took my first kid to pre-school in a SEAC a few times but started feeling guilty about polluting little lungs so stopped that, the Griff isn't quite so bad so the school occasionally gets the windows loosened, although you take a chance parking a bumperless plastic car near a school.
