The car's the star....
Been working at the Oval this week, and today I turned up in the Tamora all growls, pops and bangs to find a mass of papperazzi outside; bloody ICC thingy for the Pakistany captain who (alledgedly) fiddled with his balls. Or something.
Anyway, SNAP! FLASH! SNAP-SNAP-SNAP! I'm in a loud sports car, so I MUST be someone special, eh? Should have seen their faces when they heard me tell the security guard that I was there to run a Training Coures.
Leaving at 5pm, it was even bloody worse. Had the lid off, and the buggers were virtually in the car with me - blocking the exit, actually hit one with a wing mirror. I felt like shouting "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? A NOBODY!"
The point is, it wouldn't have happened if I'd not been in the TVR. Overall, I feel pleased as it indicates that the marque is perceived as something special.

I've had a good one aswell this year, I drove to Milan in the Cerb for the Robbie Williams concert. Whilst the missus was pampering in the hotel and to avoid the queues on the night, I decided to drive to the stadium in the morning to pick up the tickets.
Outside the stadium, A van pulls up along side & some big Italian pokes his head into my open passenger window hoping to get an autograph of Robbie, imagine his surprise when he See's my ugly mug staring back at him

It's good, innit? Definite unexpected benefit of Tiv ownership. I'll be looking for better treatment at hotels and such like from now on....
