Does anybody bother getting their Nitrons serviced/checked by Nitron. Been advised to do it and is £50 a corner so probably worth it.

Two of mine went back and were returned in about three days.

Got them on mine aswell. The click adjuster failed on the rear nearside after four weeks. Sent it back and they replaced it free of charge.
Checked them regularly since then to keep them moving and see if any others develop a fault. Brilliant otherwise.

I have this on a set of AVO's - so I now regularly spray the adjuster on my new GAZ golds..

Had my Nitrons for a while now, certainly more than a year ... and 2 of the adjusters hae lost their ratchet ... they have only done around 15-20k ....

I can honestly say I won't be impressed if they charge me to sort it out, even after a year ...

Servicing I would consider, but only if I'm going to have to pay to sort the adjusters out anyway ...

That's why mine went back. I'd be surprised if they charge you although in my case they were just under 12mths old. It has started happening to mine again. It starts by only having a few clicks - I'm sure if I forced it it would just spin having lost the ratchet. Instead if I just turn the adjuster up and down after several attempts all of the clicks return. I have to say it's a pain to have to do it. It only seems to affect the front ones so I wondered whether it's because they are so close to the exhaust? I will be liberally applying some lube to the adjusters from now on although not particularly keen on getting covered in grease every time I want to adjust them.

the nitorn "lost clicks" is well documented. if you bounce the car a few times as you rotate the adjuster back it pushes the internal bleed rod back and you get your clicks back. no need to return to nitron. in fact if you rotate the adjster back slowly so the rod can have time to follow the adjuster ring back you never lose the clicks at all.

I sounds like a bit of a bargain to me.I spoke to Guy(Nitron)and he confirmed it was £50+vat each. For this they are fully rebuilt, and gauranteed for another 12 months!!Effectively you could have the equivelent of a new set every year or two,for just £235
