Just bought my 15th TVR - a Red Rose Tamora - from Henley Heritage. I wanted to take this opportunity to say how impressed I am with them. The car was prepared to a high standard , details of service/work done was supplied. they carried out all the jobs we discussed & more. Mark Deadfield ,Sales Manager was a pleasure to deal with , thanks also to Steve , Richard & the guy who delivered it on a low loader to me in Cheshire. If you are looking for a good TVR - contact them,if you get the service I did you won't be disappointed.

HH has been under new management for a little while now, and it is hardly fair to tar the current management with the reputation of the past...

Couldn't agree more.
The reputation was dire in the past but Mark, Steve and Richard are all great to deal with.

I've been notheing but impressed with their service.

I brought my car from them and still use them for servicing, even though there are plenty of closer dealers, they have always been very helpful and friendly.

I believe they still have the 'expensive' servicing ethos. ie a make it new/perfect approach (to be tactful)

It's still the same service team isn't it?

That would explain the £3010 bill for a 12000 mile service in my Griffiths history (plus another for £2300)

I have to admit I never used them - visited once when I first got the griff and chatted about servicing, they would not give me a price: Something along the lines of we don't know until we get under the bonnet etc. Other dealers / indies at least give an indication of cost with the usual could be more but we will phone / discuss if needed:

If this has changed at HH it would be good to know: Perhaps they could join this thread:

just had a pleasant service experience at the v8 Centre in High Wycombe. (1sttime there for me)

Minor service + MOT and some minor rust treatment and a bit of waxoil

£366 !!!

Main Dealer I've used are HAwthorns originally and Racing Green, god experiences but expensive.

Lot of the TVR members in the Reading/henley area go to the V8 centre now.
Don't go to the address on their website though ,like I did they've recently moved to a bigger unit nearby

V8 centre are great - perry really knows his stuff and his prices are very reasonable. My Chim is going to him for a service and more fettling later in the week. He did tell me he's moved around the corner but I'd best call him back and find out where!

Another vote for the V8 Centre from me.

Perry and his team have done everything from shotblast and powdercoat the chassis, setup my new suspension and are currently fixing a rear wheel bearing on my S.

Prices have always been reasonable and Perry knows his stuff.

Oooofff! Henley Heritage TVR...

Bought a Cerbera from them back in 2001 (P80 WOW)....= mistake, didn't even get me home from the dealership.

Swiss Toni type salesman (before Swiss existed) told me "Having a TVR is a bit like having a mistress Sir, to get the best out of her you have to spend a bit on her".

But now you’ll have to explain to us how you stumbled upon this thread after 20 years?

It's only been 25 years.

He's well over it now!

If you wanted Swiss Tony, David Gerald was you dealership of choice back in the day.

Think Brummie Tony more than Swiss Tony.

Actually, Noddie Holder in a suit doing an impression of Swiss Tony's Brummie cousin is probably more accurate.
