End January: Picked up new Tamora from nice man at Logik in Scotland
Beginning February: Logik goes bust
Late Feb: First service by nice folks at Dreadnought
March 1st Drive to London and notice knocking from rear at slow speeds and round corners and particularly badly in reverse or at full lock parking etc.

Henley Heritage agreed to fit it in at a moments notice and have a look. They said it was backlash in the diff and declared it normal.
Problem hasnt gone away and I will be taking it into Dreadnought back in Scotland but wondered if any one has any ideas?
This is not a simple knock but almost a grinding as though the wheel bearings have gone. It drives fine otherwise and I really wanna find the 5k plus power band !!!

Hi Philip,

does it get worse going round a particular direction of corner? Usually wheel bearings will make a louder noise when turning the opposite direction to the side they are on - e.g. left bearings loud when turning right.

Some driveline shunt would be normal, but it shouldn't grind.

I'm surprised you haven't given it serious welly yet - don't forget too little power when running in can glaze the bores!

P.S. Nice to meet you at the last Glasgow meet!

Hi Craig

OK maybe a few forays into the power since the service, one of which secured me an interview with a man with a pointed hat driving a large white and blue checkered Volvo southbound on the M6.....

I really dont think it is bearings but it is like something is catching somewhere and pulling.

Sounds a bit like a driveshaft UJ that hasn't been greased properly. Speak to the factory ASAP and get it sorted!
