Courtesy Cars?
Discussion
Went for test drive at The TVR Centre for T350. Loved the car but rev counter and air-con failed during test!
Asked about service times, was told typically three days in the shop. Asked if coutesy car available for this and for any warranty claims, was told no.
Is this normal for TVR dealers?

Most supply little boxes like Ka's or Corsa's but if you're nice to them and give lots of advanced warning for the service you could get a nice suprise (hinting helps too). Making sure you'll be spending lots of money with them also helps!
Depends on the dealer......
As my Tamora is my only car I always insist on a courtesy car.
I used to use Yarnolds on Stratford and always had a Chimaera as a courtesy car. Then when they became Kings in Warwick it was a PT Cruiser as they also had a Chrysler franchise.
My Tamora's been at the factory for the past 3 weeks and they even trailered a Chimaera to me for the duration!
Cheers... Andrew

Like the Blue Tuscan you got to have a play in for the weekend !!
I got a rental fiesta from Mole Valley when I took my griff in. And you have to pay for the privilege.
The factory were a bit better. A knackered old 4 litre chimp which was an ex-press/demo car and had, by the words of the mechanics 'had the merry hell thrashed out of it'. It sounded like a bag of spanners and was probably slower than the Mole Valley Fiesta! Still - it was only £25 a day and at least Tiv.

An unnamed dealer lent us a 4 ltr Chim for the weekend a couple of years ago - once we got it home, we spotted it in the classifieds of Sprint - Private Sale! Yes - they had lent us somebody else's car!!!! And, yes, it broke down on us. The dealer is not local and will remain unnamed! But how bad is that?

Once again it seems TMS have proved to be a top dealership.![]()

Got a V40 from Hawthorns a few weeks ago. Okay it had Starship milage (130K) and felt really sloppy after the Griff, but it got me to Romsey and back. (I used my Tin Car {Astra SRi} when I got home).
