Hi guys, sound like a fine idea. We could do with a good slogan, but perhaps one that emphasises the Heritage of TVR in British sportcars for almost 60 years, rather than an NS bashing.

I would also respectfully point out that this is not a protest. We are having a rally, to attract the media's attention to the potential plight of the factory workers, and at the same time attempting to set a Guinness World Record for a parade of TVRs, as well as a parade of any single marque - current held by 249 Mazdas eek

what about something simple like a union jack with the dates '1947 to 2006'

I think that says all it needs to

Hi guys,
I love the ideas around the lengevity of TVR, but it is highly likely that there will be some form of formal 60th aniversary celebrations next year (when the company is actually 60) so i would advocate that we steer away from that specifically, and perhaps focus on the "Britishness".

Some great suggestions so far, how about linking it with the world record attempt, and having a "TVR, world beater, built in Britain" type of theme - but definately needs to be a lot more punchy .

There was a recent thread showing what a TVR logo looked like with Union Jack infil, this would be a great centre piece of a sticker, provided we can avoid copywrite infringements.

How about a suggestion from ages ago.

This protest is a bit of a fight, but with talk. TVR's produce lots of torque, so hows about:

Kirsty, a woman after my own heart... That would be just the job. Fantastic.
Incorporate the tvr logo and should be no copywrite issues.
Steve.

Slightly O/T as we were talking Vinyls (which I do want, depending on the slogan). But for a point of media coverage and making ourselves stick out even more (and for a momento of the day)... What do people thing to the idea of shirts? TVR logo on the front, slogan, event and date on the back? I can do screen print or (possibly if my contact has enough time) embroidered. Tee or Polo shirts.....

Comments? I can move this to a new thread if you like....

TVR on tour 2006......... Great idea as long as we can give any profits to a charity. We wouldnt like to be seen to be benefiting from the situation im sure. I for one think, however, that no amount of publicity is too much so the more the better. Go for it mate.Im sure every single person in the convoy will purchase a shirt.....Lets have some form of uniformity in dress code. Let the cars speak for themselves.
Steve.

Hi Ben,
This is a great idea, are you able to run with it and make the arrangements etc?
We are looking to help finance the coach costs to bring the workers and families down from Blackpool. Profits could certainly go towards that, and perhaps to be put behind a bar (hmm, that reminds me of something else i need to do) for drinky pooos afterwards.

All we need to do is to agree on a design.
Suggestions required please
