London Rally Update 1a
Discussion
Sub-update.. London Rally update number 1a if you like.
David - E2DJH is still seeking communication with the board regarding the one-pff use of the TVR logo. Alternative artwork is being considered should this be denied.
On a personal note, I feel I'm really getting somewhere with the shirts and think we'll have something in draft by the weekend.
I have been discussing with David the need for a catchy name for the rally as "the London rally on november 26th" just doesn't cut it. We have both agreed that this meet / rally should therefore be known as "London Thunder". A name which captures the location, and also the thunder element, capturing both the noise that a massive procession of TVRs will undoubtedly make in the narrow london streets and also the roar of us as owners and enthusiasts as we battle to be heard.
Ladies and Gents, I welcome you to London Thunder 2006
Ben
Footnote - I know that the guys doing a sterling job of organising this are progressing the route, meet point finer details and I'm sure that update number 2 will be provided at some point in the coming days / week.
Footnote 2 - This is crossposted from the update number 1 thread but as it would have probably been lost among the obscurity of tens and tens of posts I decided to post a new topic so that you guys and gals don't get confused when the name "London Thunder" starts getting referred to

Excellent name. I know that there is already a thread on tee shirts and the like, and I know you are heavily involved in this....when the design has been 'landed' etc....can you advise when/where we can get hold of said items and how much they will be.....also there was some talk of a ' sticky ' to go in the back window(good idea)....so if this is still a runner.....ditto how to get hold of this....ta

Found your update buried in the quote!
Okay, as noted in the thread on shirts, they will go into a "dutch auction" - i.e. multiple item auction on Ebay, which will run until the monday before the rally. After this time I will buy a bulk order based on trend to take along to London Thunder.
Prices will not be known until the artwork is finalised (sometime this weekend). At which point, both the price and the location of the ebay auction will be posted into the shirts forum... or I may start a new thread.
Hope thats all good for you fella.
