I have posted this in Yorkshire, but just in case, hope it's not too out of order to try and catch opinion on this forum too.

Any recommendations for servicing places for the Rover engined TVRs (Griff) in Yorkshire please? (or central Manchester).

I know Harrogate but that is too much of a hassle to get to. If I do go back to a Griff then I need to know I can get it serviced by people who know what they are doing.

So who do all the Yorkshire Griff and Chim owners use?

I guess a Rover V8 wizard would be better than say an average overall TVR specialist but i could be wrong... opinions?

I kow there's a place called SSC in Boroughbridge that gets good reviews, but is he a later TVR engined specialist?

thanks,
al

Tom would be fine with your SEAC Steve. He is ex HHC - many years ago, and worked on SEACs at that time. He gets all our TVRs to service that are not warranty bound.

First class work, honest, reasonable rates.

Seems to be getting thumbs up all round. Shame B.Bridge is such a pain to get to/from.

What do you do with yours John, leave it with them, go have a cup of coffee then go back, or is it a two car job and leave it with them for the week?

They've been recommended to me too.

Am sure that hourly rate is less than I've been paying to service my 115,000 mile diesel hack too !

I've even taken my VX220 there, (after Nidd Vale Vauxhall said, 'we have looked all over the front of the car and can't find the scratch on the engine cover'!)

We either go with two cars and drop one, or Tom picks our car up and drops it off - were only 15 minutes away!

Tom would happily drop you in Boroughridge where you could pass some time - it's not the most exiting place on the planet, but not too bad.

Put it this way... the only social event I've ever been to in Boroughbridge was a wake!

You can always hop on the bus to Harrogate and do some retail therapy.
