Hi All

48 hours to go

Your convoy leaders shouls all get their respective amounts today with guidelines on how to apply and also there will be a couple of application squeegees with them too. Time will be tight en route so best be quick

Display at Top Centre of the windscreen for maximum effect, which would would look stunning on 400 cars, and ensure best exposure to onlookers / press. I also could do with some impressive photos to show the boss’ who kindly donated the vinyls (just in case I need to ask them again some day).

If required they can be sellotaped on the inside of the screen if people are reluctant to stick on the outside for any reason (not that I can think of any). If people would rather stick them somewhere else on the car, then maybe just for the parade they could temporarily sellotape them neatly to their screen (inside or out) then apply them at a later date wherever they wish. ps bring your own sellotape and be careful how you remove the tape so as not to damage the vinyl. Please note these are short term use only as they have not been laminated purely for the reason of getting them done in time for the event.

On a personal note, could you please make the effort to ensure these vinyls are displayed and not just thrown on the back shelf or floor

Be one sad Moose if we don’t get good co-operation here. If there any party poopers who are not going to use them, can they return them to me at the Ace as plenty of other have asked for duplicates and funds can be raised as a result

In relation to distributing the remaining vinyls at the Ace, David has laid on a table for me and Shirty Ben () so you know where to come to collect. I should have some sort of ID on also. Preference will be given to those who have registered? Anyone who wants one and has not registered will have to wait until nearer 13:00 hrs to ensure registered latecomers get theirs (unless suitably generous donations are given of course ) I only need to hand out 60 or so as the vast majority have gone out to the sterling convoy leaders.

See y'all Sunday

Cheers

Was thinking about the "alive and kicking" sticker - might have to add "weakly!" on the end... weeping

Will they be OK at motorway speed if put on in advance ? (No wise cracks about how fast/slow please). I wouldn't want it to get pulled if in the air flow.

They should be no problem coping with the wind

Wind and torrential rain may cause some issues, more so because of the scratching that may happen if they are in the sweep of the wipers, and also if the screen is wet when stuck on.

I've got a few spares at the mo should anyone have problems

Glad they turned up OK.

Idiots guide helpful ?

Just wanted to say, these are designed to be window vinyls, produced on pretty sticky vinyl to stay on glass in the rain (not that it's going to)

If you intend on sticking these anywhere else then you do so at your own risk.

It is intended as a short-medium term advertising film on vehicles, and made by 3M, who are unquestionably the brand leader for vehicle graphics.

However I can not be held responsible if you've had a budget respray at some time and some buffoon has not key'd the surfaces properley and all your paint comes off with the vinyl.

Suffice to say I have a big one going on my bonnet, and am not concerned.

Do not use heat guns / hairdryers to remove the vinyl if stuck to your windscreen or you'll get everything thats coming to you. /// Crack ////

Just covering my ass. I haven't got any money anyway as I own a TVR. So try and sue me if you like.

Hi,
Will try to join you from Paris (if I can still catch the Shuttle). Sorry I am late, but I was not suppose to be able to come. How can I get this sticker ? At the Ace cafe on Sunday ?

I will of course do as I'm told Moose!

Even though it will reduce the visibility in the Cerbera by about 50%! laugh

Looking forward to meeting you! wobble
