Aircraft on the M1?

Were we the only TVR stuck in the traffic jam *northbound* on the M1 this morning?

Sitting stationary, every now and then there was the noise of an aircraft flying nearby. Slightly puzzled, I asked my fiance if she heard anything. "Just those aeroplanes", she said. When it started happening two or three at a time I realised it was the TVRs from London Gateway heading south on the other carriageway.

My fiance was almost in tears thinking we were going to miss the whole day.

Nope..... I was there as well!
Ended up missing everyone at London Gateway, and then by the time I got to the Ace it was time to leave!!
Never mind though...a great day and the Cerb never missed a beat....am sorry that it is having to go.......but what a memorable final outing!!!!

I only live round the corner from the Ace, and noting that London Gateway is accessible from both sides of the motorway, I thought it would be fun to join the convoy coming down the M1.

So much for that cunning plan.

Yes I did, I had the same cunning plan as you....thought I would drive down the Edgware road and join the M1 at Staples Corner for a quick blast to the services..............Yeah right!!
Ironically I thought it would be quicker than going North to Watford and then back South to the services!!
