A mystery has just been solved.

My next door neighbour thought she was being plagued by ghosts or kids continually ringing her doorbell... but the truth is, it's my keyfob for the alarm / locking that is ringing her RF doorbell. Every time I open or lock the car, her doorbell rings.

1. Is this a common or known about problem
2. Why do I have to stand right by my drivers door to unlock the bloody car but I can set off her doorbell from 20 yards?

Cheers!

Dunno but my central locking was clicking away outside the Ace on Sunday.

Obviously not enough frequencies to go around.

1) Don't know
2) Don't know

But one thing I am sure of when solving the problem, it will probably be cheaper to replace your neighbours door bell

We tested this at the time.... and no it doesn't.

Both the Cerby and the Tuscan (I assume because they are the same system (fob looks the same but the tuscan has a key attached to it)) set her doorbell off from quite some distance....

Now this may sound silly but try it..............
When using the remote key fob hold it against the side of your head. Somehow it makes a difference.
I know it really does sound like a wind up but I've seen it work!
Stranger things can happen

Clarson did this on Top Gear I think, your body is acting as an aerial increasing the range of the fob
