I do my best to wave , however sometimes you just don't see the car 'til late and by the time your've waved its gone past .

You could be right about the observation bit - looking out for numpties, checking oil/water gauges, keeping to speed limits (in case there is a camera / bib) - does mean you sometimes miss a car or two as well.

Keep on waving

Either that or they recognise the womanising PHer that won't leave their women alone even for a minute to enjoy a drink alone in a public place...

Mungo if I saw you, I'd wave.

I think people who dont wave(except people who dont see you) dont actually think TVRs are anything more than cars, they are,are they not, part of a big family? I wave when ever i can, sometimes i forget when driving my LH drive 602cc French van and go to wave and think, oh no they will think iam mad. The funny thing is if ever iam in the French mobile, absolutely everybody in a small 2 cylinder French mobile will not only wave but almost try to stop you and talk!

Usually manage to wave, though I have been known to only see another TVR once I've passed.....

Could be, like yesterday at Ascot, that I'm just sitting there at a black (or very dark blue) T350 followed by a purple Cerbera ....... ....too stunned to wave....

I always try and wave or flash (..... my lights )

Most times I get a wave back too, I think it's cool that stangers acknowledge each other just because of their car. Doesn't happen in many other makes of car!!

Edited because I'm an idiot

Funnily enough i never get a wave back from Tiv drivers when im in the volvo.

They do seem extra careful when overtaking as well..maybe its just that volvo's dont need mirrors or indicators.

Get the same thing when out with the family in the Mondeo, although some time they do make a coffee-shaking kinda of wave at me

Waved at someone in a green Chim on Friday afternoon (I was in the S)... and all I got was an amazed blank expression of "who are you?"

Other times people wave, flash the lights... or in one case, waves out the window / roof like a lunatic, bib the horn and flash the lights!

Maybe those who don't wave are to afraid to take a hand of the wheel, due to the G-force that they are currently experiencing or the power slide that they are attempting to regain control of!

I try and wave but judging by the number of times at the end of a convoy runs I get asked 'Did you see...', then I'm guilty of missing a fair few.

Mungo, not everyone has your attitude!

If I don't wave, it is purely because I didn't see you, and I apologise in advance. I have had a few reponses a bit like podie, a sort of blank stare, "who are you?" attitude. Tiv's are still pretty rare in S. Yorks, so it is a big surprise to see one. Feel free, anyone I miss, to come on here and reprimand me!

Try my best to wave, but sometimes eye, brain, hand coordination are completely screwed. Apologies to the three Tivs I passed last Sunday afernoon,in and around Stockport and Derwent valley. I think the best I managed that day was a nod due to two nights camping in the Lake District

-There's a cerb owner near mine who refuses to make any sort of acknowledgement, come on, who are you!
