Hi there,

The deed is done, the die is cast.......... Today I have sold the beloved Cerbera!! weeping

I have been forced to sell, as I use the car every day (16,000 miles in 8 Months) and since changing jobs in September my business mileage has increased dramatically!

I said in the title of the thread that I hope it is just "Au Revoir" and that we will be back to another 'Tiv' in the future, but for now we will have to do without.
I am really not sure what I will buy next, but I am currently looking at an '03 XKR. paperbag

Finally, I would just like to say that being back as TVR owners for the last few years has been great fun for both of us. It was really special that my last major run out in the car was 'London Thunder'!!
We have met some wonderful people and want to wish everyone associated with TVR the best for the future!byebye

Crikey, that was quick - not really suprised though - its a fantastic car. If only I had the money....

Hope its gone to a good home. Any time you want a passenger ride, give me a shout.

How long before you start messing around with the induction and exhaust on the jag?

That was quick Scott!! I hope you got what she was worth and didn't have to sell too cheap for a quick sale. So....... what's your new login name gonna be then?

A passenger ride would be great at one of the TVRCC meets!

As for the Jag.........watch this space........

No not too cheap, but am sorry to see it go! It was a cracking car cloud9 and never let me down when it mattered!

How's yours going? Any takers as yet, as it's another great Cerb!!

Not many Cerbs would have tolerated a hot (full) summer day in and around the busy Paris traffic system, the aircon never faltered and no overheating!! (Probably lead to the demise of the clutch though....but thats the fun of owning a (SUPER) Car!!)

As for the log-on name..............mmmmmmmmmmmmmm............scratchchin

Maybe I'll keep this one as am sure I will be back again at some point!!

Just a bit of advice - I have an 03 XKR as my everyday car as well as my Sagaris for pure fun, car is utterly reliable and piles on the miles with ease and minimal maintenance cost - moreover, if you spend about 4K with Paramount Performance (as I did) they will hand you back an utterly reliable 450bhp version of your car that has something more of a Griff V8 attitude - it's fantastic!

www.paramount-performance.com/acatalog/Jaguar_XK8_and_XKR_Engine_Upgrades.html

I did the 450 conversion plus ECU upgrade and it dyno'd at 496bhp. It's worth getting a slightly earlier car if it means you can afford the upgrade.

As an ex Cerbie owner myself( amongst others )for a great compromise between the character of the Cerb and comfort of the Jag how about a Monaro 6.0 VXR? At the moment you can pick up a 56 plate 0 miles 3 year warranty car for £26995 ( about 10 grand less than list!) if you know where to look Tick any boxes?
