TVR has sold TVR Power, the supplier of parts and spares to TVR dealers and owners, to the management of of TVR Power.

TVR Power will be the sole supplier of authorised TVR components to the dealer network.

Under the contract TVR Power will supply parts for the existing model range and models produced in the past 10 years.

TVR Power was a subsidiary of TVR but operated from premises in Bedworth Road, Longford, Coventry.

It has now been bought by its director Dom Trickett. Under the contract signed with TVR this week, TVR Power will be sole distributor of parts for existing models to the dealer network in the UK and Ireland.

TVR Power employs 13 staff and carries an extensive range of spares supplied from the original part manufacturers.

Trickett, TVR Power's new owner, said: “I am delighted we will be able to continue supplying original parts for TVRs as we have done for many years.

“This deal will bring peace of mind to all TVR owners and will secure the future of our company.”

Trickett added: “The team at TVR Power love TVRs, just like the owners. Under this contract the owners can be confident they will be able to get the spares they need from their dealers.”

David Oxley, TVR managing director, added: “We are very pleased to have helped secure the supply of original TVR parts for existing models. Dom and his team have supplied a fantastic service over many years and we are sure they will continue to help TVR owners keep their cars in top condition.”

DOM IS THE MAN bow

We now seem to have at the very least a long term strategy secured for parts.

Does it say anything about NS's intentions?

Surely if he's keeping the mk2 Saggy moulds, be has an intention to produce some more of them.

Also, with rumours of the deal with Power falling through, and the delayed union meeting yesterday, perhaps there was chance of a buyout (which would now seem to have fallen through with the sale to Power being allowed to complete).

Well done Dom,this at least gives confidence in that owning a TVR we are able to keep the cars on the road for the forseeable future, even if it costs s**tl**ds of money!

Good news for parts supply for existing owners but bad news for potential future British TVR buyers then.

Congratulations to Dom and gang.

With the current situation, I suppose I must consider this good news. I am concerned about Power dealing with Engine warranty issues, does this mean NS is going to pay Power for warranty work or has Dom picked up the cost of warranties as part of the deal. If it's the former what happens when NS starts to fail to pay his bills???

Fantastic news. Now we have three main suppliers of parts confirmed, that being Austec,Craft and power. The consumer needs competition to keep the prices lower.

Where does it say they're going to do that? They're supplying spare parts. End of.

Anyhow, this is the first bit of good news for a while.

Wrong, Dom is taking on the warranty work which will be paid for by TVR.

As a Wedge owner - it don't mean nothing. If Dom has a brain, he will source parts for wedges too.

They bough the factory stock of RV8 parts a while back. This is the exclusive rights to supply parts to the dealer network, which I would guess is a logical extension of that! Now let me see, I wonder if there's anyone out there who could take a kit of spare parts and put them together to make a car? Just an idle thought.

Really - Not many of the 479 broke down last weekend at London Thunder and those handful that did seemed to mostly suffer from heat, being stuck in traffic for 2-3 hours.

Want to back up that statement with some hard facts?

He cant, but that is the typical uneducated response you get from the general public when the words TVR are mentioned.

Its allways been and allways will be the typical response an image is hard to shake off.

I have owned TVR's for the past 5 years and they have never missed a beat.

Yours Sincerely
