I had very very scant details from a last night pub conversation but I was told by a guy who owns a garage that he'd seen a trade add for an auction at the Scottish TVR dealers who went bust a few weeks ago for either end of this week begining of next, in the sale were a fair few cars plud specialist tools and diagnostics kit and spares. Anyone got any more info on this ?

You know most of the stuff for auction could be written in Russian for all I can understand... shame as it would be probably a good thing to see. I guess other dealers will be sniffing round for a chance at some cheap cars...

I'll be there - but not enough pennies in the piggy bank to look at the cars or bikes, but there's a few bits and pieces I'm interested in.

I might be along as well. Don't want to buy anything, I'll just put in a few silent bids on the things Willie is going for to up the price

William, if you go can you report back on the car prices please? It would be interesting to see what they go for (I haven't got the bottle to bid for one via the website!).

William, I'll have one of the big TVR signs - if you're getting one, get two and I'll pay you for it.

Wonder if they have any without Logik on though:

Were you at the auction to get these prices? I bid on a couple of the bikes (online) so wasn't at the event to see what the final prices were.

Did you note the bike prices?

Thanks

If he was there then he got home flippin' quick -the cars were only auctioned at 2.30 this afternoon, and there was a long way to go until everything (mainly tools) left was going to be gone when we left -at about 5pm...

Nope -sorry, i wasnt paying alot of attention to the bike stuff i'm afraid.

Thanks gamekeeper.
The prices are higher than I thought they might be (if the prices are plus vat) - a Y reg 4.5 Chimaera for £24k inc. vat - not much below private sale price (£25 - £26k ?). It's a bit hard to judge - For Sale prices vary a lot at the moment.

So who bought some goodies then?

Lots of goodies [or so it seemed] for the Harley lot, but also lots of stuff going close to the 'proper' price. I think someone paid £140 for a single 18" spider wheel, which with buyers fee and vat = £180, which is more than I think they are new!

I was after the cats, welding stuff and various other bits and pieces, but all went over what I was prepared to pay.

All signage was withdrawn.
