Am I allowed to name and shame a company who offer breakdown repair warranty, on this forum.

My clutch went on my Tiv during London Thunder and I had it replaced by a respected TVR dealer who has done a marvelous job. I then went to claim the money back from the warranty company, and they said they will not pay a penny because I did not inform them and did not go through their approved garage (Non-TVR). I took this warranty out when I purchased the Tamora from a non-TVR dealer.

Great - So this warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on.

I'm not letting some non-TVR garage hack around with my Tiv.

Come on please, let me name them, because they are a bunch of Tcensoredrs

Well you aren't allowed to name and shame I'm afraid.

Many of these warranties have clauses that require you to use their garage and inform them before any work done....which is why half of them are useless..

Surely like any insurance policy you have to speak to them before you get the work done? It's only fair they they should be able to use their buying power to get a good rate. I'm not really surprised that they won't pay out.

I'd also be surprised if they'd cover a wear-and-tear item like a clutch....

I'm sorry to tell you this.

But the only t~~~ is you....

TELL them first........

Then argue with them about it...

For all they know you could be best mates with a dealer, and get loads of 'uogarde' free on the warranty. if they let people do the work, without beind a) informed about it, b) approving it...

come on, what did you expect...

Exactly. No warranty covers wear and tear and so you would have got nothing anyway unless you had a brand new clutch fitted the day before......rolleyes

A good dealer should tell his customer the claims proceedure when offering the product.
A good customer should also read his warranty book before authorising work.
