My problem was this, the doors on my 55 plate saggy had just slightly dropped and were touching the bodywork on the inside which caused the paint too chipp away.i took it to my local tvr dealer who asked me to do some photos so they could e-mail the factory to see if i could get it done on the warranty,i was a bit worried because it had just gone past the 12 mths on the paint and body work, and i thought i might get the knock back,i knew that if i had to pay it would cost me a fortune!
as a matter of interest i emailed GERBIL to see if this kind of problem was common to the sagaris,to summarise my reply from gerbil it read "give me a ring on my mobile!"that was tuesday the 19th december around 6pm,so i rang him that night.
gerbil said if you can get your car to the factory tommorrow i will do it,luckily i wasnt in work so i got to the factory for around 7.45am the following day, where i met gerbil.i drove a short distance where into the paint shop.straight away gerbil had a look, then he made me a brew.within minutes the doors where adjusted by 2 lads their names escape me.the car then disappeared to be sprayed, whilst this was being done gerbil made me another brew.
i was then given a tour of the factory by gerbil, what a privelige this was, however i couldnt help but feel sad due to the place living on borrowed time, i wish i had my camera so i could have taken some photos!
a couple of hours later my car was done, all that needed doing then was a new speed sensor and the air con sorting,i decided to go for some lunch whilst this was being done.
later that day gerbil rang me to say she was finished.
how about that for exellent and promt service,i believe i was treated in this way because it was personal to gerbil to look after tvr customers.
i would like to take this opportunity to say many many thanks to gerbil for his support and the rest of the team i cant remember their names, and dad too! who sorted my car out.i was treated by gerbil and the staff like a friend.i also got the impression that they all worked there because they love tvr cars, and because of this i cant understand why NM has stabbed the workers in the back, and kicked them in the teeth all at the same time,he may have taken the tvr name with him but he aint got its heart and soul!im glad my car was made in blackpool.
once again gerbil i cant say it enough.CHEERS!

And that is why its so sad that the work force that care for the car are now being made to pay for those in power not being able to hold a p.ss up in a brewery.

Its because of that enthusiasm that took me to Blackpool on the 3rd november and to London on the 26th November 2006

I have been in a similar situation to all of them except for a different type of business and have shed real tears for the loss of what i gave 100% to and a pride and passion for my work.

My heart bleeds for these men and women.cry

Even now i still dream of my old works and that was back in 97.

I have said it before and will say it again i will never buy another TVR unless it was built in Blackpool.

Coat Please.

That is such a typical TVR story. Every car I bought from them was changed to my own specs. My 450 SEAC was typical, I asked Mike Penny to fit a lockable glove box behind my handbrake for my fitted car phone (1989) which ended up needing a crossmember on the transmission tunnel moving and this was after the car had been trimmed! The work was done FOC as it always was and the car is now owned by another Pistonheader "Nacnud"

The 390 SE before it had a SEAC dash specially made for it as then they where the same as the 350 again loads of work but was done brillianty and FOC. In fact after that they made the dash as standard fit to the 400 SE's. Again Mike Penny sorted it all out for me.

After that Dave Cummings helped out with Mike on all the changes to my Cerbera Tuscan and T350. No problem was ever too much for them and Heath Paul Kirsty and the rest of the guys/girls in service were the nicest most obliging people you could ever meet. Yes I like most others had lots of problems with the cars over the years but after Porsches Ferraris et al I always went b ack to TVR because of the guys that built them and the way I was treated.

I hope the marque does not die and it would be great if they start again with a new owner using the Blackppol workforce cos they were TVR's greatest asset.

Thanks Kirsty and once again I spelt Dave's last name wrong. I always laugh when I think about the time when Sue Stoker was showing me round the production line and Dave walked up passed her a watch and said "oye Sue you left this on my bedside cabinet last night!".....and if you had met Sue it would have been worth it if she had! lick
