As TVR as we knew it has gone I assume that the chassis jigs, body molds, and other tooling is up for sale somewhere or has already gone.

If nothing else someone could make a living out the spare parts or just marketing the better known cars as top end kits along the same lines as Ultima or Caterham.

Any news?

Just posted a reply on another topic.I have recieved a letter from the administrators saying that the december wages will not be paid (along with the christmas holiday pay)and that they are looking to sell the business. Its nice to be informed speedily by someone about what is going on at the place where I work even if it is by the administrators!

My understanding is that TVR Power now owe the rights to all spares etc.

If this is the case, could Dom do a 'Graham Nearn' and start making cars?

That's my understanding too from speaking to Dom. He had to hire a fair few containers to store every thing including the chasiss jigs and body moulds from blackpool.

I am not too sure about the Sagris and Tuscan 2.

I've always found Dom to be a very honest guy and therefore I am sure the future supply and quality of OEM parts will be safe in his hands.

Surely there's too much still in the brand for TVR to disappear completely.

Someone has got to want to buy it?

What about the interested parties that were sniffing around at the time NS waded into town? If any of them are in a position to have another sniff now, it must be even more affordable & probably more viable given the " revised " overheads.

Dereck,

You wouldn't mind providing the details of the administrators would you? Company, Address, Telephone number, etc.

Thanks

TVR hasn't gone... just its liabilities (debts, warranties, parts supply responsibilities...). I'm sure Nikloai still owns the TVR brand and he will be attempting to build cars elsewhere (or trying to sell it now that the risk to potential buyers has been "liquidated".

I understood Blackpool Automotive is in the hands of the receivers. TVR Engineering is still viable (I assume) ...NS refers to Blackpool Automotive as the production element of TVR which he has intended to outsource for some time (beit to Bertone or a Jensen consortium(which fell through)). So he would appear to quite at liberty to take TVR aboard or where ever he likes. All stinks really. mad
TVR power only got the older models Tuscan 2 and Sags still lie with TVR.

LETS NOT GET TO GIDDY ABOUT A NEW BUYER, NS AND DO HAVE CHANGED SO MANY NAMES OF TVR COMPANIES AND SET UP PLENTY MORE. IT IS BLACKPOOL AUTOMOTIVE THAT IS IN ADMINISTRATION, NO MENTION OF TVR THERE. I AM SURE THE OTHER COMPANIES WILL OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE TVR BRAND.

It is good to hear the factory are still looking after their customers in these very very testing times, thanks to all.

Good grief! - sometimes I wonder what it's going to take for some 'eternal optimists' to finally get the message.
