that's one opinion. however, mine is that what i've quoted is cobblers. there were a few interested parties, but perhaps only one where money wasn't an issue.

Yet more BS. Having read these forums, it appears that NS was simply the first to stump up the money, I believe that several other parties were gazumped by him, it is my understanding that he didn't carry out due diligence rather accepting the figures and data as supplied to him by the sellers legal reps'.

nono Opinons expressed on these pages hsould not be taken as gospel, and cannot be relied upon in court when your libel case is heard.

Many years ago, when PW was interviewed for the Top Gear special, he said that if he didn't do anything stupid, TVR would be around for ever.

I'm afraid, he did do something stupid. In my opinion, he had a responsibility to at least pass TVR onto a safe pair of hands, ( lets face it, would you sell your dog to the highest bidder ). He failed, he went for the greedy, easy option, which in business he's entitled to do of course, it's just very sad for all of us enthusiasts ( & especially so for those involved ).

Makes me very sad, there still is no car like a TVR, & no other car that will fill the void for me

Hello 0to60, welcome to planet Earth. Peter Wheeler would have been slightly worse off if NS hadn't bought the company but TVR could have been purchased by other investors (all of whom knew something about the company AND the industry hence were willing to pay much less for it) and I doubt any of them could have been any more incompetent or any less disrespectful to TVR's workforce or its customers.

Slack you say? The only thing NS deserves is a snack from a Sushi bar.

I think the biggest problem now is credibility. I would say he is at the point where he is bankrupt on that front and what ever he does, or tries to do, is going to be twice as hard. Sad really on all fronts .

GIVE HIM SOME SLACK -- I DONT THINK SO

ACCORDING TO THE UNION WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH THE BOOKS NS HAS PUT £50 ODD MILLION IN TO TVR, I WOULD LIKE SOMEONE TO SHOW ME JUST WHERE THAT MONEY HAS GONE, AND THEN NOT TO PAY YOUR STAFF AT CHRISTMAS TIME, THE WHOLE EPISODE OF HIS OWNERSHIP NEEDS INVESTIGATING.

I think there are plenty of people that would like to give NS some slack.... trouble is it would go tight when the trap door underneath him was opened hehe

The problem is that he has alienated the people who buy the cars, okay there are an awful lot of people on here who won't be splashing out £50K on a new Sagaris, I count myself in that bracket. But what about the people who have bought new cars, they are now sitting there with new cars on their driveways and are now potentially looking at huge depreciation and no warranty to fall back on?

TVR was TVR because of where the cars were built and by whom. Also the philosophy behind the brand.

I'm not jumping up and down for a foreign built £100k folly.

What possible good can come out of this, he's dumped the spares, he's flogged the family jewels, does he even own anything? Surely the liquidators own the S6 engine now, along with the Tuscan2 and Sagaris moulds, other than good will what else is there? Lets face it there's bugger all good will left!

Guys, Im afraid these type of threads are getting a bit tedious - everyone with an interest in the true soul of TVR feels for the workers and their families, especially at this time of year, but simply repeating the same anger and frustration won't change anything, and PH has to be squeaky clean as far as potentially libellous or defamatory comments. So, PLEASE, do not use these pages to vent your spleens about what has happened.
