... because they are sooooooooooo rare!

Today, in 152 miles of driving I saw: 1x Ferrari F430 conv (driving behind it, while a 360 passed on other side of carridgeway hehe), 3 Ferrari 360s (1 conv, 2 hardtop), 2x 911 Turbos, 2x Aston DB9s, 1x Noble, 1x R33 Skyline, 1 Lambo Gallardo, a selection of Elises, and seven hundred and fifty thousand Boxsters, aaaannnnd not ONE TVR.

Have to admit that is more than I normally see in one day. But I see numerous Porsche every day, Ferrari 4-6 times a w week, an Aston every day. But I struggle to see 1 or two TVRs a w week. Not counting seeing mine of course

I guess thats why theres only a spotted TVRs slot in the forum page. As its such a rare occurrence.

Took my grandmother out in the Tam last Christmas to see some relatives- sans roof of course.
She was 93 & absolutely loved it. As my dad said "She's always been a bugger for fast cars..."
She was in like a shot, but it took me & my dad to lift her out afterwards though, but the smile on her face said it all.
Sadly she's not with us this Christmas.

Yep, this flicks my switch...me and the other half often travel 'up north' to see the relatives and we bet over certain stretches of the M40/M42/M6 how many TVR's we will see...I always say 1 and usually its none! Tonight (and yes I am a few sheets to the wind...cava...beer...whisky...port....) I converted a Porshe 911 owner to the marque ...to seal it we have a race to Nice on or about 6 Aug....last one to the Couronne D'Orr buys the Champagne...no contest!

Then you should try Belgium & the rest of Europe... Hardly any TVR...Suspect less then 10 tuscans in Belgium. So much fun and exclusivity. People crash in their "ordinary" cars trying to look at one speeding by. Not even that expensive appart from the maintenance but who cares. TVR Rules! Not that happy about NS moving to Europe, might be possible that we will see much more TVR in Belgium so not that exculsive anymore. However the best in the future for TVR!!

My reason is the people. For example yesterday, I start the car and the MIL comes on. I am organising a tour on Saturday so imagine my thoughts. I check out the usual with no luck.

I post on PH and get some really useful tips. I get emailed by several Backpool factory guys with helpful hints - now that's a genuine workforce.

In the evening Dom the Owner of TVR Power rings me to check if the car's OK thumbup

Now, thats never happened with any other makes of car I've owned. The TVR crowd are just a bunch of fanastic individuals

My gran loves the Tiv as well although she is a spritely 87 (mind you since she's had Healey's, Jensens, XK8s and SLs amongst others and rolled two cars in her heyday she could definitely be described as a speed freak). Where I live in London the Lambo garage is a ten minute walk and I can see the Ferrari garage from the kitchen window (20m). Far too common! Does make Saturday mornings entertaining though! Can identify every Ferrari/Maser by sound alone now and still have to resist the urge to get up and have a look. Its a Porsche bonanza too...
