Theres a lot of variables involved when considering this, but here goes:

If TVR return to a financial vertical base and remained within the confines of Britain, they made a car that me, Mrs Jagdpanther or both of us wanted and our financial situation was right, then yes I definitely would!

As I said though...a lot of variables

If I were in the position to buy new it would depend on who owns/runs the company... having worked for a publishing house of which the management's actions were not unlike what I keep hearing about NS/DO, I can certainly sympathise with the workforce - even if it's well possible that the end of production as we know it was inevitable... To me, honour and integrity in the sense of 'a man a man, a word a word' are important issues and I usually avoid dealing with folks that take those issues rather more lightly.

I'd have no issues ordering a Tuscan or Sagaris as they are now, from a decently run outfit although I feel the latest price hikes were probably pushing it.

Problems going to be the new prices, i expect the cars will now be out of the price range of the majority of current tiv owners.

Yes, very good question Ash!

If they were to stay British then I would, even if it was a speed 6. If they were to move production abroad and TVR becomes even less British then I seem to lose all sense of loyalty.

If they returned with a Car that had an AJP8 type engine and the car was built here then I would be chomping at the bit!

agreed with you all.

There is such a loyal following of a British built car, and that is what everone expects TVR to be - if they kept it all here - i would put my name down tomorrow for a new AJP8 or S6 engined monster!

NS needs to realize that the reason that people buy these cars is because of their heritage, hand build etc etc.

Come on NS - realize what the brand is about!

Stuart.

No - not with the current model line-up.

If they come up with some thing new and very sex at the Geneva motor show .. then maybe I'll change my mind.

If TVR stay in the UK to be successful this is my opinion they will have to design a car that a lot of people can aford to buy new, somewhere between 20-25K for basic model. It can for those who can aford be supported with extras whatever. Have a two model line up second to be lets say beteen 35-45K both models in f/h and d/h.What do other people think?

In principle yes, of course, however, I'm not a huge fan of the current line up.

Quality would need to be improved as well, otherwise I would buy secondhand and allow some other poor sod to have all the initial hassles of taking it back to the dealer to have the niggles sorted out.

Problem is, that it wont be a proper TVR in our eyes. The big 'business tycoons' will more than likely be aimed at the newer TVR's confused

I had 90% decided in my mind to go for a new Sagaris, but nagging doubts about the reliability of the speed six engine made me think twice so I ordered a new Morgan instead.....

As things have unfolded I have to say do not regret my decision.......

If "Fictional New British TVR" could make something that sounds as good as the Aero 8, with the sexiness of the AeroMax (takes all sorts, but I love it) and the obvious deveopment that Prodrive has put into the new Marcos, then yes.

As it stands, the new Marcos looks like the spiritual successor to TVRs in my eyes. Can't wait to see if their prices drop like the Cerbs have.

They need to go to a reliable V8 - the LS block ideally - for the noise and the oomph. Stick to what they're good at - making cool cars with awesome sounding engines, rather than cool cars with possibly the most fragile engine (S6) ever made.......

If they installed an update to the AJP8 then I would certainly sit up and take notice.

Lets just say that someone has been in touch with me about some interesting news from the 'new' company, i cant disclose any further until i can authenticate the validity of what has been put forward, but there seems to be something very interesting in the pipeline.... I'll reveal more once I know how serious the email was...

Your quite right they should try what they did in the late 1980s with the S and build
car to an afordable budget
