Silverstone TVR were one of the first dealers to suffer because of the sales policy of JO! They now are called SP Performance and specialise in Toyota MR2s.

How many dealers now sell Noble?

The TVR Centre stopped trading!

What is the fate of the rest?

I think you'll find they still 'specialise' in TVRs and are working on serious modifications to Lotus too!

Had the Chimaera serviced by Matt at SP.

The SP MR2 is a hoot...

If they're playing with Loti now, I think it's a good think for the marque...

Hopefully selling and servicing second hand cars will tide them over 'till the new models arrive. No idea when that will be though.

Racing Green do, and always have, also sell Jaguars so they have that. They also have Mosler too. So I can't see them going under if they lose TVR.

Quite a few are becomming Marcos dealers and most have taken on Lotus dealerships also.

Im not entirely sure I would pin my hopes on Marcos too much, but with spreading themselves over TVR servicing, Lotus and Marcos sales and servicing + the 2nd hand market, I think a few of them will be just fine. TVR and Lotus owners tend to be fairly loyal folks.

The Harrogate dealer has even resorted to advertising on the local radio station, inviting people to see/come and test drive the latest TVR models!

Desperation?

You have to remember that all dealers are running a business. The winter months are notoriously slow for TVR sales. So even specialised dealers have to have many strings to their bow in order to stay in business. Fernhurst for instance sell 4x4s during the winter months (as well as TVRs). Along with the TVR servicing, it keeps them ticking along during the winter. But by doing so doesn't mean that they're abandoning the marque. As far as a garages name is concerned, I think it's obvious that if it appears to be solely branded with TVR it will suffer during the winter months. And this is bad not just for them, but also for us.

If you're talking about David Hendry's then David has been doing Suburus for as long as he's been doing TVR, if not longer.
And given that my dad bought his first Subaru from him in 1980's that's quite a while.

ChristopherNeils? Was a bit gutted when that happened actually. I get my Lotus serviced there and used to love listening to the Big V8`s being tuned and moved around the car park. Always wanted a drive in one. Always thought I would buy my first TVR from there, but unfortunately it didn`t happen.

Do you have the Griff on a trailer? I think I have seen it a few times on the A49 near Cabbage Hall and Oulton Park....wicked colour!!

They will obviously continue to sell used TVRs
