Chris,
Try Castle TVR in Stansted, at www.castletvr.co.uk, close to the M11. Not been there myself, but have heard good things.
Edited as being ham-fisted!

Kerridges in Needham Market, near Ipswich. www.kerridges.co.uk (I think!)
Chris,
Unless you have experience of very light rear-wheel drive cars with lots of power, all will be a new experience to you.
I'd suggest you go to the dealer that is cloest or best appeals to you, explain your position to the salesperson and ask to test drive both the Chimaera and Griffith, as well as the V8 (4.2 or 4.5) Cerbera's, as your price range reaches some older ones.
A good dealer will give you a back-to-back experience of all three to allow you to compare
The Chim is more forgiving than the Griffith, the Cerbera is (I've found) easier than both of them to drive, especially as a daily driver.
BUT Your TVR choice is a very personal and passionate thing, the shape/colour/handling will all affect your choice, see as many as you can, join the TVRCC and go to your local meetings, talk to owners - unless you're in a real rush, take a few months and see what you think.

Chris,
I would highly recommend Castle TVR. I traded in my yellow chim (lovely car
) for a new Tuscan S got 1st March. The chim is still sitting there awaiting a new caring owner...think its up for 24k though.
Ian Cunningham is the main salesman and the TVR factory employ him to do all the specs at the motor shows for TVR & Michael Caine the other salesman is the TVR factory race driver due to race in Le Mans this year...there great guys so don't think you could get much better advice matey.
Alan.

Chris,
I recommend that you chat with "Yellow peril" or "Simpo One", respectively - Mid Essex and Suffolk/Norfolk(part) TVR Car Club Regional organisers. Alternatively check out the TVRCC web site and get along to one of the local meetings. You should find plenty of TVR owners with lots of advice to help you.
