I’m probably going to get flamed for this, but I’ve bought a BMW. I had a long chat with Mrs GMan on Friday night and the practicalities of us getting a Cerbera now are just not there.
So I have bought a 330Ci. It’s silver with 18inch MV Alloys. I have got the dealership to re-spray the wheels in anthracite as part of the deal. Anyway, one day I will have the TVR that I want, but it won’t be for a couple of years yet. Thanks to anyone that has helped me with TVR advice.

Sorry! I forgot you turn in to a boring w@nker if you don't drive a TVR!
Read the post! I have not given up on getting a Cerbera. Just put it on hold!
chill GMan. The fishing line was cast and it caught a big'un. It was said tongue firmly in cheek
you acknowledged in your opening you may get a flaming for buying a Beemer 3 series instead of a cerbie. Its psoted on the TVR forum isnt it
The 330 Ci is a v nice car. I used to drive one a fair bit and was impressed with the performance and handling. But I cant say I would strain my neck to look at yet another one go past. I could simply move slowly to turn around and watch the next one 2 cars back
It aint a cerbie, but its a fine automobile and will only make you appreciate the cerb more when you get one. Its passion -v- sensibility. and you spoke with the missus before buying.....
Just thought I would put something in here.
Not all people that drive BMWs are idiots. (I know you are not all saying that but....)
I'm a real car nut-job (and fast motorbikes as well) and owned a M3 EVO for 2½ years before Mrs Shortlad decided to be no longer Mrs Shortlad and decided Mrs AA was better! Yep divorce! Had to sell her
(the M3 that is) to finance the lawyer/divorce/house purchase and miss her more than the ex!
I drove and drive the way that all you guys and girls would expect any other road user to drive 'normal'. Can't deny that there are real idiots driving BMs but I think they drive all sorts of cars as an idiot is an idiot!
Found my desire for a fast cars had not gone away and I've decided to sell my Yamaha R1, borrow some cash and I'm looking for a Chim or Griff to re-new my car fix. Always wanted a TVR. Don't have another half to discuss things with so can't be talked out of it
just a bank manager to convince I can afford it! mmmmm whats harder to convince, a wife or a bank manager??
I have a couple of mates that drive 330's, one is a convertible and the other a Coupe. They are great cars but as a second car (what I'm looking for) there is no contest, would have to be the TVR every time.
I hope you finally get the car you are after.

I know it's not a Cerb but it will have to do! I'm starting to drive tons in a new project that I've taken on at work, and thought the 330 would do the job! It's not a Cerb and I'm gutted about that, but if this project runs smoothly I should be able to get a Cerbera later in the year too!
Anyway
Cheers

Does this mean that you've put Mrs Shortlad off blokes completely and she's now gone for some girl-on-girl?
