Is because of idiots like me. It doesn't help when Claire turns up and is willing to answer a million and 1 questions on TVR and their family's history at the factory. Last night for me is a slice of heaven, I got to talk to an ex-factory worker, Claire and catch up with Ian who immediately spotted a load of things that needed looking at on the Cerb. And that's why I go there, and am on this forum blowing a trumpet when something is good and proper.

And as for the usual surreal imagery - take your pick - Ian flat out on a minimoto, pitch black, iced tarmac and no lights, Claire jet-washing her Chimmy at 1am, and a demonstration of Meguiars latest wax on my car BEFORE it gets the service.

It's a shameless plug, but I don't care. The Cerb is in good hands, the man is destined for a knighthood. If your Trevor needs a fettle you know where to go.

Sounds liek a glowing recommendation indeed

Its good to see that there are so many good people out there willing to go that extra mile to take care of another TVR and keep them in the condition they should be in

BTW:

Nice Cerbie...what colour is that?? Or is the reflection giving it a multi-tone effect??

I can't wait to book my Griff in with him as I am reliably informed that it has potential to be able to do 160 in 4th and go on to 180mph

I think that this may be over and above the usual 12,000 service options though yes

It's Reflex Purple, think there's 4 colours in there somewhere, great colour but has a bubbling problem on the roof - which is another thing Ian's looking at!

Ian (or workos nocturnalus latin) owns and runs Torque RVT in Middlewich.

He's mad as a plate of eyes and has a drip with a permanent supply of Red Bull direct to his main arteries.

Knows his stuff. thumbup

I'll add my praise to the middlewich magician - having nearly done a 36 hour stint there not so long ago - he's a genius !

Keep away from the devil yellow min-moto last time I did a spectacular somersault right off it and now have my own 'the stuntman' tag - thanks to claire,

Keep up the good work Ian and thanks for the wiper motor replacement this week - top bloke !

Yep
I'm going up there to set up a few cars and it takes me two weeks to get over a stint at Middlewich, he is as mad as a hatter but we all love him.

Have to echo all of the comments here. I used to take my Tamora (now sold, alas) to him and he's is an absolute diamond.

So much passion for the marque, excellent service and eye opening prices (in a good way)...I only wish he did Elises too!(I've now got a 111R).

I've heard people rudely referring to them as skips on occasion, but for one of our own to convert it to a wheel barrow is more than one can bear

Recommended by me also, I travelled down from Scotland for my service I think at the time I was probably his furthest away customer.

I hung about until 6pm then of to the local hotel for B&B and some refreshments..!!!

Ah, maybe the modification was a "get you home device", for in the likely event of a breakdown you can left the rear wheels up and push the car home! laugh
