Over on the Griffith forum we have being trying to work out what this is....

It was located in my nearside inner wing toward the front.
It was connected, it seems to just have two contacts.

Any ex employees shed any light on it?

Is it an impact sensor? If it was used with a relay I suppose it could shut something off, fuel pump or something?

Dunno.....

The philips screw on top adjusts the position of the contact blade.
It was fixed to the inner wing within the headlamp recess.

More suggestions.................

idea Could it be a crude thermostat that might bring on your frost warning light? The contact blade is probably a bi-metalic strip. The philips head screw would be used to calibrate it.
