Just thought I'd pass some info on to the PH massive...!

Paul (austec racing) is converting his 4.2 (custom, only one in existence) Speed 6 Tammy into a twin-turbo rocket...

Grapevine says 600bhp is the roundabout goal....!!!!!!! yikes

So not only has there been a 4.2 stroker Tuscan floating around clocking mega-miles out there without anyone knowing, but now its going TT!

You heard it from me first...

I wander though... what a twin-turbo tam with 600odd to boot could do on the strip/tracks.... hmmmm scratchchin

By the way, an ex-Aston Martin engineer is now working on his team, fulltime!!!!

Will be quite interesting... they're designing the new header as we speak...
heat will definitely be an issue in that cramped bay...

I wander how they're doing the setup, sequential turbo or just two turbos running in parrallel... scratchchin

Awesome! I agree about the blog-it would make great reading. I can't see it all fitting in without a monster power bulge but then if done well that could be cool, they don't have to be Max-Power.CrazyNick coud help as he is on a roll at the moment.
What about the transmission? What about traction? sooo many questions.

Have you seen the plumbing on a Supras (only straight 6 seq I can think of) sequential twins? Lots of pipes, valves, wires, hoses & actuators plus two turbos that need the space a 2 litre bottle of coke would need next to the block, plus a 6-1 manifold. I think a lack of space would knock the sequentials on the head, never mind trying to get them running in sequence and balanced. Tbh space will be Paul's biggest headache, then just trying to keep the thing cool enough will be his next biggest cause of long days and sleepless nights.

It's a shame this project won't/can't be blogged as imo it's one of the most interesting and thought provoking projects I've heard of for over a year.

Yeah I've seen the pipework in supras... I agree though, could be a lot of work in that bay to get turbos in, but i guess there aint much else in the bay of a tvr, so unlike the gadgets and gizmos of the supra, might be a simple enough feat, heat wise, i believe a huge oil cooler and a multicore intercooler was mentioned...

A blog would be excellent! I doubt he'll have time to do a blog, running the business, and then my phoenix project and then some new non-tvr 800bhp project and 3 other big projects at the same time.... unless someone offers to run a blog and pops over once and again, gets a few words and piccies???? anyone live in Gatwick?

What gadgets and gizmos? I think a pair of GT25's running parrellel will be a tight fit, but my memory of a Tamora engine bay is somewhat hazy- got a picture handy mate?

I meant all the electronics floating around and the abs bits etc etc...

Heres a pic of a Tamora bay:

Tight as anything it looks... scratchchin

Gaz is right about the plumbing and cooling, bugger squeezing it all in there. Will be interesting to see what comes of it and how reliable Paul makes it. Having said that as he is making the news public, then one presumes he has already done the majority of his head scratching and he thinks he has a plan in hand, in which case good man.

But was Paul actually intending to make this news public yet, or did he have some more head scratching to do first? No sign of the man himself on this thread tumbleweed

Out of interest why would you fit twin turbos to a straight 6? How would this work, a single turbo for the front exhaust branch and same at the rear? And then both blowing into a common plenum/air-box? And... why did Paul chose turbo over blower? Curious? Rich...
