just wondering about tyres on my 4.5 cerbera , everywhere tries to sell me toyos - are they any good or just ok on boy racer chavved up fiestas. curretly on avon zz3's - which i really like but there can be supply problems. also thinking of going up to 18's !!!
The Toyo T1R is the way to go, I used to run Avon ZZ3s which are great but if over-abused they would distort (although never known of any supply problem with Avon though??) I started with the T1S and now have the T1R, a bit slippy for the first 500 miles but then they just go off and are brilliant right down to the legal minimum, never needed rebalancing.
Cost a bit more than the Avon but worth it.
T1-R is the newer tyre, and it has a circumferential groove or two around the shoulders. It looks like it's going to have more wear-resistant shoulders as a result (which the T1-S seems suffer from a bit). The T1-S has the V-shaped grooves right to the edge.
