I don't know who she was but she had certainly been tarnished by the Kia corporate brush! Silly woman!

Good idea

Working for Kia cant be all bad, it pays for her Sagaris so good luck to her. After the bashing TVR have had on TG recently she deserves some credit for shouting out - theres every chance she could have been ripped to shreds!!

They seem to have kept out of the TVR politics on Top Gear wonder why? the current situation has nt been discussed, i d find it more interesting than a Reliant Robin Space Shuttle any day.

Sharon held up well to JC. I know that if they stuck a camera in my face, I would be lost for words.

Interestingly she hasn't got a Kia herself.

Soulmate, I have bypassed Kias because I have bought cars that have a longer and more established heritages, ie Mercedes and Honda.

I've got a pair of Kia indicator lenses on my S2!! There's a few of us over in the S series forum who've done this - can't get the original Sherpa van ones these days, you see...

I have never driven a Kia and I wouldn't want to, apart from being too young to test drive any cars because my insurance wouldn't allow it.

I like TVRs, I don't have a thing against them, my brother was going to buy a purple tuscan or chimera, he still hankers after one.

Interesting your thoughts on bypassing KIA like the Clarkson brigade who slag of TVR , it shows some short sightedness amongst the TVR clan . Established heritage's Merc, what the most unreliable car brand just about. People who buy a lot of these so called top quality product never admit problems with there cars because they don't want to look like numpties because they have spent all that money on the marketing mans quality speech and really got stiffed . No body noticed German brands quality taking a massive nose dive due to employee / Union issues in Germany getting like U.K in the 70's. These companies now are resting on there Laural's from previous efforts and clever Marketing / spin doctors. For those who have not tried some of the recent KIA products like the Sorento( last few years ) you will be very surprised. Go take a panel off and look at the quality of electrical trunking door welds e.t.c.The cars drive very well and are well priced much better than other efforts which cost twice as much ,and also people are waking up to this as resale prices are starting look good . The Mrs is a manager for company which has around 9 new car dealerships ( All different and what sits in the driveway hear is often different most weeks ). Kia put big demands on dealers to make everything top notch , showroom e.t.c which can be costly for dealers which is more than can be said for others .That is because they have to try harder to gain status unlike some other products who are loosing there way.
Thing is have you ever driven one of there latest cars ?.Every car should be taken on its own merits as well not just the badge . I was i inspector on new fords , we had next to no defects on Scorpio and Sierra as they where built in Germany (15 years ago when a Merc was built like a WW2 Tiger Tank ) and Belgium. Fiesta's and Escorts where shocking built in the U.K. You have to look deeper than the badge with all brands. I know i don't own KIA , but just remember reading this in 5-10 years ,i think views will be slightly different when more people are exposed to the products which are getting better quietly week by week not the other way round.

Deeper than the badge... I live and breathe the Mercedes Benz brand, I adore Mercedes Benz!
Speaking of 1980s Mercedes I owned one, I still see the build quality and reliability of those cars as a benchmark. I owe my life to the 1980s Mercedes build quality!
I completely agree about modern Mercedes, my Dad has a 97 E-Class and I have a 98 A-Class and the build quality of them compared to our 500SEL from 85, 450SEL 6.9 from 77 and 450SLC from 80 is completely shocking, cheap quality materials and not particularly we bolted together either, but as a car designer I prefer the modern Mercedes aesthetics over any other mass produced car today.
I bought the A-class out of neccessity and also I really like the entire package, a small Mercedes that has a good loadspace.
I did the same course as the guy who designed it too, but thats another story.

Interesting the A class not driven the latest but have the old briefly, and a couple of A2 have lived hear a while ,poor. Recently we have had a 3 Mistu colts of various ilk , ok the odd bit of trim is not the best but the design of the car is superb , A2 old A class not on the radar .I trained as a yacht desginer after the motor trade and i can tell you its well thought out . They go well with the 1.5 Di 3 pot . Much better than the old VW unit in the A2. Lots of standard extras discs all round e.t.c, very clever rear seat arrangement but simple and all for less than 10K and have seen the base model new at £6665.I could be wrong but is the Diesel A class with lots of spec getting on for 20K.. They are actually so good unless you need a massive boot there is little advantage over a big saloon. We have a new Swift 1.3 DDi which has been hear for 3 days , which is also very good , not as much room as the colt or probably as high spec but its got the look .
Talking of Merc e.t.c .What about the first M class mercs built by Steyr Mmmmmm great !. Also know porker drivers who have sold there brand new cars and gone and bought 964's. My best mate had a Mk1 boxster S it was o.k , bought a MK2 sold it after 6 months bought V6 Mondeo, he had nothing but issues with the Mk2 Porker.I know of a porker dealer who does on average 4 engine rebuilds under warranty a week. And people go on about TVR's , no we are just honest.
