Hi all,

The roof on my S2 is need of a spruce up.

I'm aware of the range of products from the Polishing Company and Renovo - anyone got any preferences on the best product/s, techniques, etc?

Cheers in advance,

Thopsons Water seal. Far superior to Renovo. I hear Fabsil is good also.

The lady who made the soft tops at the factory is now working at Automedon - might be a good idea to give her a call and pick her brains... thumbup

Excellent stuff... now all I need is for the weather to clear up.

I do find Renovo soft top Reviver very good to re-colour a faded roof though.

Actually, there are 5 types in a variety of formulations in a choice of applicators.

I have no idea which is the right one.

I am presently doing my roof with what is likely the wrong one, bought in Wickes, which is working, but after 4 coats the degree of waterproofing is still poor.

I'll use Nikwax next time.

Don't think Nikwax will work that well or last. Thompson's you want the cheapest, basic one. If that's too confusing, then use Fabsil.

Thanks for the info

The black of the hood needs "reviving" so it looks like a combo of Renovo for the colour and Thompsons to seal it.

Wasn't that impressed with Renovo (blue) when I tried it, tho Fabsil does work well IMO. I do remember some threads about boot polish being useed to recolour but never had the balls to try it... anyone?
