How to buy a £30K TVR
Discussion
Have them built in Romania:
The key to the lower costs is, quite simply, lower wages.
A Romanian car worker will take home the equivalent of £170 a month

Here's a Dacia moving down the production line. Romanian manufacturing at its best. Can't wait.
(Actually the methods look not too dissimilar from those used at Bristol Ave so maybe not so silly)

I was going to say that the only difference I could spot was that they are using a horse to drag the shell around rather than a human. Smart guys.

Renaults are poor enough when they are made in France...
Statistically more reliable than TVRs built in England though. Glueing and bolting a simple car together ain't rocket science and with proper controls anyone in the world could do it as well as the English and cheaper. That's why these types of jobs are mostly done elsewhere.
17p on the minimum wage will be another little push for certain jobs to go out the window some more.
Ohh, this reminds me of the good old days.
We put an ERP system in a Romanian television factory that was bought by a UK outfit.
Apparently during the communist time 95% of televisions pruduced did not work.
They still sold as everybody knew someone who could make them work.
During my stay there they showed me the production line and their new Quality Control system.
I kidd you not but it existed of a guy with a rubber hammer at the end of the line given the sets a big whack to see if they still worked after that.

Let me guess, 95% didn't pass the test
