Hi

On the 23rd of March I have an appointment with a specialist regarding my left knee.
I was quite active during my youth and my left knee is causing me loads of pain and problem, and specially whiles I'm driving (clutch knee).
I am for the time being an owner of a Caterham 21 which I love to bits. If the worst come I will have to sell it a then finding something else.
I had a ride yesteday in a TVR Cerbera, ( Cheers David ), and I love it, and seeing a V8 Audi for sell with tiptronic made me think.

Would it be possible to fit a V8 Audi, in a TVR? Or is there a modern auto gear box which could be fitted to a TVR? I especially like the Cerbera or the Griffith

Cheers

Richard Thorpe at RT Racing in Sheffield could probably do it - he's done most other things... yes

You can get him on 0114 281 7507

Might be tricky to put an auto on an AJP or S6, but I don't see any reason why a Chim/Griff couldn't be converted.

Top marks for your though process.

I have seen adaptations for the disabled with a hand operated clutch mounted on the gear-lever.

I think a lot of rally cars have this to allow simultaneous throttle, braking and gearchange - costs £££ though.
