gerbil`s the man
Discussion
I got Gerbil`s (Kevin) name from another thread about TVR paint, gave him a bell yesterday, what a top bloke very helpful, gave him the paint code of my 98 starmist blue Chimaera, and now have a touch up pen, a large aerosol spray, and a large can of lacquer on order. If anybody is having dificulty matching paint for there TVR, email him and he will mail you back a contact number, and hopefully sort you out.
Cheers Kev.

According to this months Sprint, Gerbil and a few others have set up a company called Surface & Design 'to specialise in prestige automotive surfacing and refinishing'
Above is correct but I believe he has also got this paint business up and running too. I'm sure he had flyers for both at the Thunderball.
Kevin's got links to Dexter Paints (01772 556 087) and he put me onto Paul their, who mixed up some Arancio Atlas basecoat touch-up for my car. Spoke to them on Tuesday, it was delivered on Thursday
.
First class service and not expensive either. Hope the new venture works out for you guys

This is probably a dumb question...but are all Starmist Blue colours (i.e. my paint colour) the same? I understand about the paint code on the plate of the car...but if I ask for that paint code is it 'guaranteed to match'? Or, is it necessary for Gerbil (in this case) to see the car before doling out the paint? I just seem to remember reading somewhere that the same colours can be different enough to show (if that makes sense)....
Boyztoyz - not too sure about blue but a chim I had at the time was logged as 'cooper green' in the original documentation but when it went in for some repair work Gerbil said no, it's an early starmist which was a slightly different shade than the later starmist. So no, it's not all straight forward!
Cheers
Mike
