Griffith 500 v Golf R32
Discussion
try ANYthing against a bugatti
500 against mclaren, enzo not too bad...
bugatti, makes it look like a 2cv
back to the point, a griff with sorted suspension, geometry and dampers, will show the golf where to go on the bends as well.... unless wet then its's down to the driver.

wish this would get an update to add a Tam
Having previously owned a T350 and currently driving a MKV R32, I think I am in a fair postion to pass a comment on this one. There really isn't any competition in the power stakes. The T530 would walk over the .:R any day of the week.
However... if you ask the question about 'usable' day to day power in this godforsaken country, the R32 is a very competent beast. Turn off the ESP and it is really good fun, controlled and easy to drive, where as in the TVR you have to be a bit careful in the wet or damp conditions. In the dry though and with the TVR power down on the black stuff properly, the R32 would be left for dead.
Two totally different cars though - so horses for courses.

1594kg, more than half a ton more

Be careful though... an apparently standard Nissan SX200 creamed me yesterday.
He was a bit close behind at 30 mph so as we hit the dual carriageway I gave it some beans, expecting to show a clean pair of heals to this oriental upstart. Bugger! He was clearly much quicker than me - it's not like it was a test of skill or anything - just a straight line blast from a rolling start. As he went past, the characteristic whine/whistle and dump valve noises could be heard above my roaring pre-cat V8! I assumed it was well modded but maybe they're just quick.

That simulator claims 0-60 time for the Veyron is 0.9 seconds??????????????????
According to this www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/Features/articleId=108032 it's 0-60 is 2.4 seconds and 55 seconds to get to 250 mph
