Hagerty Insurance
Discussion
Just had the renewal for my Tuscan come through, and as there have been several good write ups on Hagerty on this forum recently, decided to give them a call.
No surprise then that they come up with a better figure.
However, my concern is that any insurance company can effectively buy business in by offering on the face of it better premiums, but the proof is how good they are if you ever have to make a claim.
Has anyone had any dealing with them when a claim has had to be made, and what was the experience like.
I am currently with Allianz through A Manning.
Any comments would be welcome
Cheers.

Mine is through Hagerty and is underwritten by Allianz - excellent prices!
They also insure the race car too...

S6 ROR,
Thanks for the post. We insure all our Policies through Allianz, the same underwriter as Mannings. The Allianz claims department has been voted the best in this sector for 2005 and 2006.
We are not trying to buy the business, we are just offering good premiums to second use cars that are looked after, cherished, garaged etc and do limited mileages. We see these as lower risk than somebodies everyday car they commute to work in, hence we can offer good value for money premiums based on this risk assessment.
We are renewing current TVR customers on the same or lower premiums than they paid last time.
Hope this helps,
Darren @ Hagerty.

Thanks Darren, appreciate the reply. I will definately be transferring accross to you. Also like the fact that you can add a second vehicle to the policy and so effectively have just one policy and one renewal each year which covers both vehicles. I also have a Griff SE as well as the Tuscan, which renews later in the year which I will also bring accross.
Don`t know who i spoke to on the phone earlier, but they were very helpfull and very efficient.
Cheers.

I have been insured through A.Manning for all my TVR's which is the Allianz Cornhill policy.
Two years ago I wrote off my car and have to say i very pleased with Allianz's service. I was even more surprised and impressed when my next renewal came through and my premium had only gone up £50 despite a Total loss claim.
