My insurance requiries a cat 1 alarm, what category is the factory fit in the cerbera (98 model)??

The Chimaera Meta 2 alarm is a cat 1 but because they were fitted but an unauthorised installer, TVR Eng, most insurers class them as cat 2. I know that doesn't answer your question but may be useful info.

the other option (safer one) is to go to a thatcham approved dealer and pay them an hours labour to check the installation and supply a letter/certificate that the alarm has been fitted correctly. This should definitely satisfy your insurance company.

Cat 2

Unless you get boot & bonnet switches added on to it, to make it cat 1

Do you know if there is an online list of thatcham approved dealers?
