This is my first post for a few years - and it's a sad one cry

After 10 years, 6 TVRs, (4 new) and approximately 140,000 miles I am now Tivless cry

I waved goodbye to my Sagaris to Mat & Fiona who had travelled from the Midlands to buy my car, and I had a huge lump in my throat as Mat drove off, as I knew this was the end of a fabulous relationship with the the most fantastic of cars cry

My love affair with TVR started in '96 when I was a passenger in a friends Wedge at Le Mans - I was a Biker and not really interested in cars - but the noise and the poise (pose) bit me hard, and within twelve months I'd bought my first - a 4Ltr Chim, which I ran for two years and 30,000 Miles; I then ordered a new 5Ltr Griff from Portfields (Chichester) in Paradise Purple which I ran for another two years and 30,000 Miles.

However, a new dawn was breaking in TVR land - the Speed Six engined Tuscan, and I just had to have one! So I ordered a new one, in a Volvo colour, yikes Saffron Pearl. Despite an engine rebuild, this car served us well for another 30,000 miles in two years before we upgraded to a Tuscan S - this time in wacky Nebula Blue; a car that performed faultlessly for 15,000 miles in eighteen months before being traded for a new T350T in spectraflair Silver. This wasn't such a good choice, as the car broke down after 30 miles (faulty radiator), and the noise from the targa panels drove us completely mad! But the cars beauty and immense driving pleasure meant that its faults were always forgiven.

Then the beast appeared - in the shape of the Sagaris - and what a fantastic car it proved to be in twenty months and fifteen thousand miles of ownership! evil

So.... to sum up 10 years of TVR ownership?

Absolutely fantastic; despite the niggles and the odd engine rebuild, I wouldn't change any of it!

Blondemoment and I have travelled extensively throughout Europe without a hitch, have created a Luxury Driving Holidays Company around them, have worked for TVR at the last NEC motor show, and have met some very special people during the last few years, including:

Peter Wheeler,
Ben Samuelson,
Danielle,
Gerbil,
Heath,
Richard Beaumont,
Lisa,
Ian Law, - What a great laugh we had at the motor show
Drew - Portfields & Fernhursts,
Giles Cooper,
Justin & Alan - ex Peninsula,
Paul and his team at Gatwick TVR,
Dream Machines,
The incredible technician Andy Bennett at Westover Sports Cars in Poole,
the TVRCC,

We very nearly became TVR dealers for the Central South Coast just before the Smolensky buy-out!

So what do we buy next? How do you replace a TVR?

We would gladly order another Sagaris - but would it ever appear?.......................................................................................................

Maybe doa prject with a sagaris?

Or you could replace with something else, but i don't think you will be able to get anything better until you get to the hundreds of thousands yikes

Second thoughts..... AMV8, Marcos TSO or a morgan aero 8??

Hope you have joy finding a new toy!

It's mine now and you're not having it back!

Took us close to 5 hours to drive back, might have something to do with the detours we took, and the fact that it took me 45 minutes to find somewhere that sold cigarettes. Seems lots of shops run out of daily items when you drive a sag and i had to just keep driving to find somewhere that had them in stock.

Drive back was stunning. The car performed perfectly and is so easy to drive. I've spent the last 12 years driving as part of my jobs but this is the first time i've spent the whole time grinning. Even when i had to swop over to the zafira(?) for Fiona to enjoy i just wound down the window to hear that noise! Our face's were aching from the constant smiling.

Fiona was out in the Sag at 9am this morning to take one of the boys to football (She accidently picked up the keys to the Sag and not the zaf). Armed with 3 black bags, one for his boots, one for his kit and one for him. No mud on the leather! Seems to have caused quite a stir down at the under 9's football league, message come back from her to say.....one of the grand fathers has come over and asked whose was the beast, asked to sit in it so i took him out. His response "i can't breathe, it's better than the fair!"

I'm hoping that she'll return at some point today so i can get out in it, although i fear she may have the same problem with finding milk and have take some time and mileage to find a store with some in stock!

The first 24 hours, AMAZING!

Big thanks to the previous owners for the time and hospitality that they showed us yesterday, for the wealth of information provided and for the cd full of pictures of the cars international journeys. If you want to see where it's been, it's the gold one in classifieds that now say's SOLD!

Well it's gone to a very good home, but watching you drive off in it yesterday was just so sad!

Just one thing I must warn you about - the car is used to staying in luxury hotels, and might protest wildly at being taken to a dusty filthy Le Mans campsite - it has it's own personality, and may not allow the hatch to be opened when approached with a tent and flask!

Lauren has decided she's never having kids, even though I would have willingly have let you leave Sian behind! What a complete cutie! Mind you, they both were!

So the hunt is on for a new car to fill the huge void that we are both feeling.

Enjoy your new car - but I don't really need to say that, I know you will anyway thumbup

Now i don't know what to do ???????????scratchchinsounds like the beast has gone to a good home though.
Diane and I know what the new owners are feeling like, as we have had our T350c for nealy 4 years now, and still grin like cheshire cats when we "Give it some"

Nice post. yes How about an Aston Martin V8 Roadster?

Have been in the same situation; 3 chimaeras 400, 450, and 500 then a 4.5 cerbera, (still have the 450 chim) but fancied a change and bought an M400 Noble. After driving it side by side (from the same dealer) against a 996 twin turbo porker there was only one winner.. The noble for me just does it all; goes, handles, doesn"t quite do it in the sound department like the TVR but christ is it fast.
Put one on your list to try out this phenomenal car.

I was thinking that as well.....

It appears that you haven't had the pleasure of a monster that is a Cerbera AJPV8 yet. Get a 4.2, they're the best

Know how you feel guys.

Despite Nervy Matt being a fantastic bloke and he giving me his mint Verde Yorke 'Grale in part ex, when he drove away in my Sagaris I absolutely 100% hated myself. Like yourself I created a company based around the cars.

Nothing hooks like a TVR and the Sagaris has the biggest talons of them all.

I know how you feel. After I "fell out" with TVR I spent about ten weeks without. T'was pathetic, hanging my head out every time one went past just to catch a snippet of sound.
