Just went out to local shops and a spanking new (ish) BLACK TUSCAN (I think) with no front end on it. The nose was completely ripped off and lay a few metres away from the car.

The other car (which lay on its side) was a Rover 200.

Someone made a very bad mistake as this is not even a 'fast' road; in fact it's a residential street that approaches the village shops.

TVR is an 06 plate. Not a TVR buff, but I think it is a Tuscan.

Cutting crew, medics, cops and half the village are out there. Hope no one was seriously hurt.

Bummer. I used to live in East Barnet, and that mini-roundabout in the middle of the village is nasty at the best of times.

I hope it was the Rover 200 that was being driven by a tit and at fault for the accident and not the TiV owner that did it.

Gawd. I was at Barnet TVR on Saturday talking to Martin et all. As well as an Aston Martin, there was a black Newish Tuscan in the showroom that had just been sold that week.
Wonder if it was the person that bought it had just picked it up....

Whoever it was, I hope they are ok.

I have to say that I am shocked and outraged at some of the comments on this page...

I mean for gawds sake...who could possible describe East Barnet as a village

It must be a village because at the bottom of Longmore Avenue (and East Barnet Road) there's a sign that reads: "WELCOME TO EAST BARNET VILLAGE".

hehe I'm with glassman, its a very village-like place - when I was a kid living in East Barnet it was always "see ya down the village"

yes I drove through there once - a long time ago - and remember thinking that there seemed to be a lot of village-people lurking about...

One thing we seem to be missing is a village idiot... a few eligibles I see.
