Is it just me that has noticed that the TVR number plates are NOT fetching the price they once did? Very little "For sale' comes up on Ebay these days. And it seems to me that 'a letter' followed by 'one or two numbers' followed by the letters 'TVR' are not selling (even here on the Pistonheads classifields) unless they are near the £500 mark. Have the days gone where once people got £1500 to 2K for the exculsive plate? Could this be put down to the demise of the great marque?

I think £500 is about right, I paid that for R** TVR 5 years ago and thought it was about the right price. Okay if its V8 TVR or A1 TVR you will pay more. I think it finishes the car off having a TVR plate.

TVR 4 would look so good on a TVR S4c!

Agreed, the right TVR plate does look good on various models of the brand

I was checking out the DVLA site recently - all the current '07' TVR suffix plates are listed at £999. Any with '*007 TVR' are priced at £2,299. I thought 'OO07 TVR' was quite neat! Not that there'll be much demand for '07' registered TVR's rolleyes

Just get's the message across a little clearer as you leave them behind in a trail of dust......

Plus, I hate these YJ03 xxx style plates - You can get some good ones, but they're sooooooooooo non-descript, and a TVR is not exactly a non-descript car now is it? If you find one you like at the right price, I think they really suit the marque, so I'm looking.....

IMHO off course!! beer

Peeved that T350 TVR was sold by DVLA for 1100 last December!!! Did a PH-er get it????

Why does anyone have a private plate? Just makes that special car that little bit more special.

As for prices, they will sell for what people are willing to pay for them.
